I have had the fone for nearly 2 years and have never had a problem with the battery - i charge it every 4 days and its gr8 - also camera is good and so is the video

I have had this phone probably about 2 years now.
I like the features- the music player is good. I got a free adapter with the phone, which most phones don't give away, so if the headphones break you can just get new normal ones cheaply. The dedicated music buttons make it easy to use the phone as an mp3 player and the memory slot allows up to 4gb so you can fit quite a few songs on- plus the software has a 'mobile converter' which you can use to 'shrink' the size of most music files meaning you can fit alot more on than you'd expect. I had a 512mb card in there and about 300 songs.
The calendar/to do list/etc are pretty much as expected and good as I think most Nokias are.
However, I have had quite a few problems with the phone, although some were brought on by me being clumsy. At one point dust started to gather under the screen (I broke the screen cover off trying to clean it).
After a while the phone started to lag- the screen would sometimes randomly invert the colours or freze. It would take a long while to do simple tasks. And the media player messed up so that it would select sometimes 20 sometimes 99 sometimes 200 of the 300 songs i had on there and I could only play the others individually by going to their file location- I have no idea why it did this! However, other times, it would be fine and as normal.
It finally broke yesterday when i dropped it down the stairs (oops) and the screen 'cracked'so now I can't see anything.
Overall, it has some software glitches, I think it probably trys to do too much at once and crashes. Also some screen issues. But a god phone feature wise and price wise.

Worst note: song library crashing/other lag and screen crashing

its already have been 15 months thst ive purchased this mobil,this mobil is very good, stylish,and very good music system.I really liked this mobil very much.

hi! friens, this model sound out put very gud battery back up very low i can"t send picture msg. picture option is n't there so don't buy this mobile take care friends....

I bought this phone on Feb'2008, it is nice phone, but you need to charge this phone everyday. Sometime this phone hang... otherwise it is ok.

i m using nokia 5300 express music from last 1 year..i hve no problems wit d phone but encountered certain probs with password setting feature...

AS with all sliders, the biggest problem is the ribbon inside malfunctions from dropping the phone. It happened to me 2X. The screen will go blank, flicker, etc which are all signs of ribbon problems. The speaker half the time doesnt give a sound when i rec'd a twxt message. The case is plastic, hence, be forewarned, it can only take slight abuse and the phone is gone. The minute my contract is up, i am going to ditch this phone. The music and camera so far works well. The issue with this phone is mainly DURABILITY, and it FAILS!!!

1st prob why we had problems like these
well to tell you the truth,
a proper care...haha..and ...nokia phones are not only phones.Each model had examined and signitured...by the company!!if you dont give it a gud maintenance it will only gives.. you troubles..hell ayt!.

what about the camera...i heard that its camera had problems..??is it (low quality)?? haha..they say that its better to upload it in ur computer than storing them to ur memory card..or phone memory...???is it true??
