I have had MY NOKIA 5500 SPORT since 04 october 2006, and my buttons are not falling OFF.

Hi. I'm not sure by what you said receiving programs from other phones. But it can receive and install program (receive *.sis, or *.jar) from other phones. I've been using this phone since September last year. Other than the keypad peeled off two months after I got it, I have no problem at all. I got the keypad replaced for free recently (mid February) and so far so good. =)

I do not recommend this phone at all!!!
the keypad peels off, its software performnce is weak and with latency.my phone locks during sending msgs for about 2 minutes! too small screen!... Im so sorry for nokia ! Their products are getting worse everyday!

i got my keypad fixed about a month ago now, and its holding up strong. i think the latest batch of keypads are doing good

This phone feature are good. But the keypad always peel of. After I use the glue for it, the keypad was broken. I just use this phone only a week. Then I sell it. I really2 disappointed.

This is one of nokia's worst desinged phones since i bought i i have been in and out of the service centre, 7times. Keypad just keeps comming out. Also phone gets stuck very often Bad phone overall!

quite fragile for a sport phone, keys pealed of on mine too. a bit of superglue added and now it's fixed, also a bit o plasitc covering the part beneeth the screen fell off. Also i had to have it serviced coz it got stuck with the haeadset on. i own the previous model and it was much more rugged than this one, also it's laking an auto keylock function witch is eesential for my lifestile.

it's good .. but i like more Nokia 5500 Expressing Music than this one....but it's cool....the only thing that i really don't like it's the screen ..it's 2 small...

well, this set is good, water proof and shock resistance but the screen is way too small.
and the camera is F+.

i text & mke calls a lot because of my job. it hasn't even been a month since i bought the phone and the keypad peeled off. since my unit has a 1 year warranty, i brought it to a nokia center for repair. i've had my keypad replaced BUT less than a month AGAIN of constant use it peeled off again. i'm trading this phone in.

i stay in south africa so i paid for it R3500 (R=Rand) R7=$1 so paid for mine $500 for my 5500
