wow! this phone is already available???
it seems that nokia are very acurate with the release dates.. unlike last year and the 1st quater this year, many units were delayed..
we should xpect N93 and N73 will hit the shelves on time. :-)

What are nokia thinking. Nokia just seem to be loosing the plot. Nokia have somehow made an absolutly usless phone worse. This is meant to be a workmans phone, Nokia might as well have painted it pink and put a flower on it. They got the idea by putting BT in it, but other then that very disapointed. If you are going to the gym to work out, the male shower block will clear straight away if they see you walk in the shower block with this bit of junk.

I'm a loyal user of Nokia sports cellphone from the first beginning until 5140 that I'm using now. The features that I really need from 5140 is SPL meter & Compass, that makes 5140 unreplaceable with something else. And now Nokia came aout with 5500 models that doesnt have that features... It seems totally useless for my needs.

I think the lacking of Digital Compass will be the most weakening matter of this phone.

i need to kno if there is feature that makes a fone just vibrate from 9:30 am to 6 pm and then change to ring mode. i mean to keep it silent+vibrate between offfice hours.
this is similar to Samsung functionality of having the morning alarm off on weekends and then back on weekdays, so that we can get some seep on sat and sundays.

Yes this yellow/silver pattern is not very nice, but the black/silver is pretty good. Then again i dont care much about the look of the phone and i am must interested in its functions. So a simbian and shock/dust/splash proof is a combination i have been loking for a long time ago. I would be nice if it was fully water-proff like the old Nokia 6250 and Ericsson R310 but this is good too.
