Nokia 5530 XM to start selling on 11 August in the UK at 150 euro

07 August, 2009

The latest touch-enabled Nokia 5530 XpressMusic should be available very soon through Carphone Warehouse, which will sell the phone exclusively for six weeks. Every one in the UK can grab one for 150 euro with a pre-paid SIM presumably unlocked as our readers suggest.

Carphone Warehouse will have an exclusive deal for the Nokia 5530 XM for six weeks until the end of September. The handset will be offered at the appetizing price of 150 euro with pre-paid SIM card, which is way better than the expected price of 199 euro suggested by Nokia at the announcement. The retailer will offer contract deals as well, which may take the price down even further.

The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is a smaller sibling of the popular 5800. It sports a 2.9-inch touchscreen display, 3.2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM radio microSD and runs on the latest Symbian S60 5th edition. As a mid-range oriented device it lacks the GPS capabilities and the 3G connectivity along with the VGA video recording. True to its XpressMusic nature, the Nokia 5530 features stereo speakers and a 3.5mm standard audio jack.
