After much research and observation of the comments on this forum, I finally bought the 5530.
It's okay so far.

Well im certified tambay and i had this amazing phone and it was great especialy in browsing because of its 2g steady signal he he he :)

i have the phone 8 months and it doesn't have any problem until now.i hacked it and also i have more than 40 apps and 50 games..fast day per day without problems.this phone is so cheap for the specs and the quality that has...nothing else

I have been using this phone for 9 months and so far so good, I hacked the phone then change product code to install latest firmware and install more than 100 appl...and so far all OK...

actually im using this phone for about 4 months now and i didnt have any problems the touch screen is very cool and its easy to use only one qeustion im confused where are the loudspeakers????

The cause was a short by lousy placement of the component inside. I agree that it's slow given the low ram. . but the speed is pretty acceptable. . but for you it maybe barely forgivable. . but let me ask you a question here. . what was your phone before you got this 5530?

I just want to make an enquiry. I guess someone stepped on my phone somehow and broke the screen, now it is not responding to touch anymore, as i cant recieve calls or dial numbers.... Does anybody have an idea of what i can do??? I need a response as soon as possible

this phone is awsome.it meets all my expectations. music camera and wifi. but unfortunately, i drop it the 5th day i bought it. but its still great. i promise you. nokia 5530 is a great phone.

Sid, 08 Jul 20105800 is a far much better phone than 5530.....
its just a ... morehae....
first of all i would like 2 introduce myself as a it professional and i change my handsets after every month..just as i m mad 2 use all new stuffs...
commenting on 5530....
it is one of the worst phone by nokia in this price range... i have this phone at the moment and it has a lots of bugs into it...
photo and video editors were working in 20.00 firmware but after update to 30.00,.. both of them are not working...
gallery auto refresh is not working and i restarty it 2 refresh..
actually... everything happens slowly....
initiall it was working with a great speed and was highly stable....
ram of 128 is relly very less and due to full memory error it frequently reboots ...ram should be at least 256 mb...
wifi is working fine.... and is the only thing i liked in this phone...
actually in 11k ... the phone should not have a 3g ...but removing the gps reciever is totally ununderstood????? ....
it seems its mrp should shouldn't exeed 10k...
9k will be its deserving cost...
camera quality is average but with single led flash... it sucks and not so good at night...
for design -7.5
for features - 6.5
for performance - 7.5
better u go for 5230 a 7.5k phone...
yaa that too a s60 v5 and will have same problems later...
but with 3g ..u'll manage...
also lifetime free navigation with in car holder shows it good standard...
x6 8gb is also a good option....
apart from all these... try samsumg jet... one of the fastest mobile i ever used....
n97 is nothing but same as 5800...
better try galaxy.. that too a good one...

Hey guys, I was using this phone for the last 2 months happily, but for the last few days, it started giving a very strange trouble. I am really pissed off with its behavior. Whenever I try to call someone/ answer an incoming call, the phone CRASHES and turns itself off. Earlier it was random, but now it happens almost all the time. I tried to hard reset the phone, but the problem is still the same... I am using firmware version 30.xx....
One more thing, when I call using handfree, then the phone works fine... but how can I always carry my handfree with the phone? I am very frustrated, I really like this phone, but this bug in very basic functionality (I can't use it as a phone!) is really pissing me off...Can some one out there help me? I will never buy any nokia nor will recommend to anyone..
