This mobile doesn't have 3G (HSDPA) so you'll not like it at all... If you use wifi to download, upload etc... Then everything will work just fine with 5530... But if you wanna use 3G data connection, then sorry.. Nokia 5530 will be a nightmare simply because it doesn't have 3G or 3.5G...
Go for either Nokia X6 (New but expensive) or 5800 (old & cheap but you'll get almost everything)... If you don't want wifi then Nokia 5230 will also be a good & cheaper choice... (All above suggestions are belonged to Nokia touch screen family...)

hi im planning to buy ds n0kia 5530 to replace my g705. Im hard internet user everyday using phone thru wifi or via wap hspda. And g705 really works very well on wap coz its 3G very very fast. Pls Is there anybody can share to me how fast ds nokia 5530 on
1)downloadng youtube vids and file attachments, pdf fles, 3gp vids, mp3 and mp4 files,
2)net surfing and uploadng files n fcebo0k and email thru wap connection or hscsd not wifi.
Ds phone s only is it reliable when comes to downloadng and uploadng fles, opening pages fr0m net? I want to kn0w bfore i buy. Thank you

Guys, i found the solution. For receiving calls when the instrument is locked, swipe your finger from the left to right on the green highlighted section. To reject the call, swipe from right to left to unlock first and then tap the 'reject' image.

When the instrument is in the locked mode, how do you receive calls. Can't receive by answering the left green button and i dont see any available settings for it. I have to unlock and then receive the calls. Anyone know how to receive calls without unlocking

5230: 2 MP

5530: no
5230: yes
There have also been anecdotal accounts that the 5800 has the best sound and better casing. Everything else about the phones are the same.
If you still don't know which is right for you, 5800 is the safest choice because you won't miss out on any features. You can save good money by choosing the 5530 or 5230, however.

I have bought this phone recently & finding battery suddenly coming down to last point after a day of use. It needs to charge daily. Can any body tell my phone's battery problem, or this phone's battery is not long lasting??

Bim, 27 May 2010I used this phone for almost a week and then had to sell it... morea nokia phone with android would look kinda fishy : why would nokia spend so much money in developing OSes but not use them?? It would show that the creator of the os does not like its own work.lol
Anyway.....
To all 5530 users, we got a way out for the crappy ui:spb shell. Its expesive but we can easily find it freely on the internet xD

I used this phone for almost a week and then had to sell it off cuz of the following reasons,
1. The touch sensitivity is good at some areas but really pathetic (stucks badly) at some areas especially while using the camera.
2. The camera is really poor indoor and I saw lots of grains (lots of dots) and these grains spoils the photo when you take indoor photos. The flash doesnt seem to be helping too during such places.
I hope the next generations of nokia touch phones are much better with android OS or the capacitive touch screen should make them better.
At the moment, I have said bye to nokia and switched over to sony ericcsion. I have got SE Hazel and this slider phone really ROCKS!

i have this phone, and i also wifi at home but when im playing youtube its not loading (its loading 0%), what seems the problem of that application? can you please help and give me some remedy for this application? what should i do to buffer and play youtube on my 5530. im looking forward..
