You can prolong battery life if you use it 'till it's completely drained and charge it 'till it's full, Mine lasts for almost 3 days without charging while randomly playing favorite tunes... But, I admit, it has low battery life... :D

I am unable to create playlist for my songs which r stored in data card. Do I need to store songs in the phone memory for making playlist. But the internal memory space is very less.

The battery backup depends upon your type usage.. e.g. If you use WiFi for a longer time.. It drians up the battery faster. But here are some settings which may help you upto certain extent...
1.Decrease the brighness of the display..
2.Decrease the default Light-timeout of the screen!
3.Charge the battery only after... almost fully dischrging it.. It will help for the battery in proper cycle opertions!!

Hard reset your phone.. dial *#7370#
Lock code will be asked.. Its 12345 by default (If you haven't changed it!!
Your phone will be restarted & reset.
But DON'T forget to backup your Phonebook, messages(if important) & calebder entries etc. Backup the content via Nokia PC Suite. Some of the applications that are installed in phone memory will be cleaned up!! Your Memory Card is safe.. But still remove it before starting the operation! After the reset when you will re-insert it.. It will take some time to re-install the applications which were installed in it. Wait for that... & after that You will feel your phone lighter that before..!!

Actually I've got nothing to tell anything because so many friends have answered your question... Yeah... They are exactly right... What you have to do is, go to menu - Settings - phone switch.... Then the next steps will be very easy to understand.. You'll find the way very very quickly...
Don't hesitate to ask anything.. There are no such thing as silly questions.. Because we don't come here with knowledge... We gather it from others who are willing to share what they've learned and then we do the same...!

Anonymous, 05 May 2010Easy: Applications->Phone Setup->Phone Switch. Than y... more@V8 - you can also try using Nokia PC Suite or Nokia OVI suite. copy/sync your 6600 contacts to your pc, then connect your 5530 and copy/sync the contacts saved in your pc to your 5530.

You have to turn on Bluetooth on your 6600 as well. I received today my 5530 and in 3 minutes all contacts from Nokia 6300 were transfered.

Dear Nuwan
As Expected I got my 5530 Yesterday. Have a small Question for you .. this might sound like a silly question...any ways can u tell me the easiest way to transfer my contact details from my Nokia 6600 to the 5530 . cos if i use bluetooth I will have to transfer one by one ... also i know that I can copy the contacts to the SIM & then copy to the 5530.. any different suggetions ??

Big problem in my phone memory there are some files named others which are 40mb and i dont kknow how to delete them where to find them. i checked them in installed apps. its not there. please help me to delete these files so that i can get back my phone memory same in the case of memory card also pls help...
