I have mistyped the resolution of these two mobiles as 640 X 380 but it should be corrected as 640 X 360...
And I forgot this biggest weakness of 5530 according to my point of view... 5530 Battery life is really really weak... (1000 mAh) But 5800 has a better battery... (1320 mAh)

After reading your doubts about both 5530 and 5800, I think I have to tell you this first of all... There's no such GUI difference between the OS of both mobiles... (Some friends have mentioned that 5530 is so much better than 5800 without any reasons, I really can't agree with most of them as I know both phones...) So if you don't mind the colors, design of the mobiles, then you'll not notice any difference in UI between mentioned two phones... Yeah.. You're right.. 5530 is newer than 5800 and its design is cool... But it has the same OS as 5800... Before 5800 gets its latest firmware update to be just like 5530, its OS was bit odd without Kinetic scrolling... But now it also has kinetic scrolling so you won't see a difference between two UIs...
But...
If you read my brother 'Arthur's reply to you... Then that's what exactly I also want to tell you.. If I am to select between 5530 & 5800, then I will definitely go for 5530 just because it has a very cool design... (I totally agree with my friend 'Arthur' here...)
So very briefly, it's like this...
UI both mobiles are same... (But not in colors... 5530 colors are bit yellowish while 5800 colors are bit bluish.. I'm talking about screen colors... OK...?)
And again,
5530 Screen Resolution is better than 5800, so what you see in 5530 is sharper than 5800.. (5530 resolution 640 X 380 in 2.9" screen... But 5800 same resolution in a bigger 3.2" screen... That means no of pixels for a square inch are higher in 5530 than 5800.. I'm telling you, this is noticeable... Some will like bigger screen... But I will go for higher no of pixels rather than the screen size..)
And further, when we talk about touch screen sensitivity, 5530 and 5800 has almost same touch screen sensitivity... but if you do check it thoroughly , you'll notice 5530 touch sensitivity is better than 5800.. (But this is hardly noticeable thus this is not a big fact really...)
Camera in 5800 is better than 5530 camera though both are having same mega pixels... But that difference also is not that noticeable...
As you can see, the areas you wanted to discuss were, UI, Camera and the touch sensitivity... All those three points both phones are more or less very very similar... But indeed not in design... When we compare the two designs... The difference is huge... 5530 rocks and 5800 shows that it's bit older...!
What I suggest you is, go to a nearest shop and hold the both phones in your hand and then decide what to go for... I will wonder if you still want to go for 5800 even after holding both phones in your hand...! (But if you want features like GPS & 3G over the Design, then you should go with 5800...)

bee, 12 Apr 2010i saw it here in the phils for only 10,049 pesos. gonna buy... moreIm here in Dubai now and thank god 5530 is cheaper here..haha..its only 750 dhs = 9090 php..

the phone has a lot of problems.. the speakers are the worst.. moreover the battery is also not upto the mark, u need to charge the phone everyday...

yo nuwan! Haha just dr0ping do u thnk that the n97 widget functionality wil be c0ming to our touch screen enabled xpres music ph0nes? Seeing that the c6 uses them it makes me feel quite envious. .

Dear Sameer,
I'm using 5530 since around 1 month, this phone is fantastic, for your information I usually using Sony Ericsson products, this phone was the first Nokia to me, so in my opinion, this phone is excellent, (Excellent Wifi, V. Good Camera, easy to use, small in size (Smaller than 5800), great network signal, awesome screen, etc.
sorry i was not able to tell you about 5800, becasue I didn't see any different between these two phone a way from 3G.
