is it normal that this phone discharges in 6hrs with some music video play.. and also is it safe to use these batteries... plz check....

Well, i have been using this phone for almost 6 months. Touch quality is not so smooth , Hangs frequently..camera quality is good bt Music quality is not as good as i thought. Don't go for it guys..

I m very disapointed about this phone. It swi hes off when i wanna make call or receive . And the big one is while charging i ve turned off the phone .now when i turn it on it keeps showin' me : phone start up failed contact the retailer. Plz help(nokia 5530) it a lil' old

It so happens that when you open the file manager, some amount of ram is occupied by it depending on the number of folders and files present. More the files and folders, more is the ram needed. Even 32mb ram is enough to handle 32gb full capacity. Most feature phones of today have expandable memory of 32gb yet having just 32mb ram.
As for your issue i guess you are using Opera Mobile. Its damn heavy app, opening a couple of heavy pages will make the phone go out of memory. Use Opera Mini.
Don't use ram blow, its harmful to the software. In case you want to refresh the mobile, better restart it. Will get more free ram that way. Out of memory is caused due to lack of total free RAM, not free storage memory. And keep theme effects off to get more free ram. To save battery don't use RamBlow.

If the RAM is so powerful then why it keeps saying memory full even when I just run Opera browser and close all other applications. I even use Ramblow pro to cleanup everything yet I face memory issues. Remember I still hav 500 MB free in memory card if that was the case.

I too am using an 8gb card in mine and have not faced any slowness. Using a smartphone is not the same like feature phones. The reason i asked was because nokia might have capped its maximum memory to 16gigs by means of software codes. Its a fact that this hardware is capable of handling upto 64gb memory. For example, nokia n97 has 32gb internal memory + 32gb expandable slot. The hardware of 5530 is same as of n97 as it has same amount of RAM and processing power. Besides i am using a custom firmware based on n97 currently. I even have got the same homescreen with widget support plus the 6x2 menu style of S^3 phones. If you really want the maximum out of your device then better flash it with a cfw. Why need an official update from nokia when modders are doing a far better job than them.
Oh and let me give you another advice. When you ever wanna use a large capacity microsd, better format it in pc using Fat32 file system and file allocation size of 64-128kb. That will double the speed of your memory card.

Hi all,
Why Nokia has not released an update after V32... They should release the updates to resolve various issues of the phone. They cannot just sell the phone which does not have updates. This is unfair. Nokia is going nowhere with their Symbian..

Did anyone here try a 32GB memory card with this phone? Am thinking of buying one from flipkart.com at 2500Inr, approx 50$.
