well, phones are generally cheaper in malaysia and singapore but are more expensive than in uk. if you want to buy a phone just released, singapore is a better choice but if it is quite some time its released, malaysia is better( prices falls faster in malaysia but initially higher than in singapore).
if your problem persists, i suggest you to hard reset your phone( re installing the software).
as for suggestions for a new phone. hmmmm i think htc wildfire s is good or if you could go a lil higher i would suggest samsung wave

i fear from the future of that mobile many compains from it its battery seems bad it somtimes i domnay starting to operate it i wish this mobile live over 10 years. I hate paying money every year for a smart phone it wastes much more money

Nuwan ... ( I hope u are still visiting this page) .. or any body else who can help .. Im from Sri lanka.. I have being using this phone for over a year now .. & a couple days back suddenly im getting an error message when im trying to switch on the phone saying " Phone Start-up failed .Contact the Retailer" ... I got this phone from UK .. & I went to the Nokia care center in colombo to get it fixed .. but they said they cant fix even without checking ... any suggestions on what what i can do ... Please Help .. also are phones Generally cheap in Malaysia / Singappore .. any suggestions on a phone of about USD250 to USD300 which u reckon good ( in case I cant get this fixed or if it is too expensive to ) .. Please help

how can i format my phone memory?? lately my phone's feedback is getting slow and i thought it might have something to do with my phone's memory...could anyone please suggest what i should do?

I tried your suggestion and deleted evrything from memory still no luck.... Mr. Jett or anyone else kindly help me with this issue...
Am not able to download anything from internet with my 5530... Previously i used to download 10-20 videos per day....:-(

hi everyone,
it's been a while since the last time i posted..
just also want to give some advice
5530 is such a cool phone, simple and sexy and just worth the price. though 3g and gps is missing, there are tons of downloads available to satisfy the need..
but yeah this is outdated, in some nokia stores here in manila it's not available anymore so i suggest go get a newer model if you can afford get n8.
i too want a new phone but still waiting for windows phone to be released because still i'm enjoying my beloved 5530.

Previously i used to download lot of videos using 5530 via internet. Now an unable to download anything. As i hit DOWNLOAD button the same page remains and i don't get any pop-up or real player. Do i need to change my setting..?? Plz plz help me on this....

Nice phone. Got to buy this one next year. For multimedia and entertainment. It would be my first time to have a touchscreen phone. I wanna buy this. Its good speculations are somewhat of high performance. Cooool!!!
