Nuwan, 22 Jan 2010Dear hariharanmn, Just update your firmware to the lates... morehey bro i've tried to update the firmware using nsu and it displayed successful message but my phone didn't start at all. luckily i've 10 months of warranty so i got new one. so should i update on this new phone or just contact nokia care? plz help on this

Thanks for your information. I checked my device updates and found the software version is already with V 20.0.080 with the latest update on Jan 16th 2010. But even then I am facing this issue. Could you please help me to check here. Please correct if i missing something.. Thanks

i just got this phone 5 dyas ago, and so far i like it except that it doesn't support 3G.. but overall its ok with its price... and i like its white versions.. mine is white and a stripe of pink.

Just update your firmware to the latest... (V 20.0.080) That will solve all the issues you have... I promise... I don't think you'll ask 'How can I update the firmware?' because it's so simple task... (If you really don't know just google it..)

Update your firmware to the version 20.0.080 and after that install HelloOX2 and hack the phone... (It's better to update the firmware anyway... Besides HelloOX2 supports the version 20.0.080. So there's nothing to worry.)

Hi Bought a New Nokia 5530 Xpress Music. Within 2 days, the handset was restarting on its own. This happens often, making very difficult to use. Does anyone has a solution for this.

Just use skyfire mobile and use wifi as your connection. And you can play games sa facebook, watch videos from youtube. :D

Yes... it's not directly from Mozilla... That's true... And I knew it's not Firefox Mobile... But skyfire browser has been built upon mozilla firefox platform... Evidences are very low... But please read this article in skyfire website...

However as skyfire is still in its beta stage, it will not be the greatest out there... But I can say, it loads extremely heavy youtube and flash files using some technology still not used by either opera mobile or Nokia default browser...
Please visit some web sites which have very heavy flash animations, and compare using Opera, default nokia browser and skyfire... Now you'll realize...

Yes... You can install almost all the applications which are compatible with Nokia 5800 in this mobile.. Actually the simplest way of finding software for 5530 is search for 5800 applications...!

As far as I know, there is no free mobile anti virus out there... All the popular mobile anti virus programs are not for free...
However you can have cracked versions of any popular anti virus from www.dotsis.com
But.. that's not before you do anything... You'll have to hack (brighten) your phone in order to install unsigned applications...
So hacking (brightening) will be the first then only you can install cracked anti virus program in your mobile..
But if you can pay, yes of course you can install them without hacking (brightening) your mobile...
How to hack your mobile etc... step by step you can learn and follow from the same web site...

I think you mean 'Update firmware' not 'Update software' right...?
Then, answer is 'No' you don't have to worry about firmware updates of the phone... When you hard reset the phone it will not go back to the previous firmware... It will retain the Firmware update but it'll delete anything else..
The step by step procedure of hard reset I've describe in an earlier post... Please go back to several pages and you will find...
