This phone is not capable in 3g and GPS.. its flash is just so low light... but its wifi is good..

The small size of it is great in pockets but actually in practical form the screen is too small,if i were to buy again i still go for the size of the 5800. Swapping 5800 for 5530 is simply degrading.

hey everyone, can anyone please tell me if their phone hangs in the middle of a call? i've just had my nokia 5530 for 5 days! and i don't even use many applications on it, mostly just texts, calls and listen to music but today it started to hang in the middle of a call and then pressing the screen or even trying to switch off the fone did not work! to make it work, i had to remove the back cover and the battery and had to restart it to get it to function again! is it normal? what should i do? am very worried, help plz :(

I have downloaded some 20 themes and most of the software that you mentioned except the calculator.. which i dont use that much. I dont think this phone is going to come this 20th or in Nov. There is no ads yet on TV or newspaper.

@SUN Its a dilemma again. Yes 5530 is attractive for sure. If u are planning to sell your 5800, u may not get exact 13k Rs. You may lose few 100 Rs or 1k :-( Secondly 5530 is still not available.
@Mani I got used to my 5800 except for few minor issues (which can be pardoned). Phonebook needs some improvement in terms of searching. I guess there are apps to replace phonebook. Also using scrollbar in menu is bit cumbersome. I have organized the menu so that unwanted apps go in misc folder, this prevents scrollbar! I have set the home screen theme to "Shortcuts." So on home screen i get 4 shortcuts, active to-do, appointments (calendar), music bar (if playing), radio bar (if playing)...similar to winmo devices. Its very cool. I wish they provided some contact bar in the home screen itself along with shortcuts, it would be more handy (May come in v40...i hope). Also the express music shortcut button is helpful, so you dont have to go inside menu that frequently! You can install lots and lots of apps. You can also hack your phone to make the gui look like iphone/android etc...(i havent tried it yet.. basically m scared to lose data and dont get time). I have installed google maps, mobilePaint, Handwriting calculator (awesome app from nokia beta labs), Spirit level, BrightLight (u can use phone as torch!!!), nimbuzz, quickoffice (trial), photobrowser (cool photo browser from nokia beta labs), UpCode (2D/1D barcode reader.. a beautiful app!!!) Most apps are from Ovi store, nokia beta labs, www . mobile9 . com, www . dotsis . com.
Mani dont worry about installation. Its very easy. When you double click the .sis or .sisx file from computer, it will automatically open up nokia app installer, then you will have to perform operations on the phone... (mostly Yes / ok / next..).

So i guess the original screens would get scratched soon.

->for touch screen you cannot compare a capacitive touch screen of s5600 with the resistive one on 5530; still the 5530 has a very sensitive touch screen but time and again you'll find yourself doing multiple hits for a touch to be registered; using qwerty can become a pain in the ass at times but the handwriting recognition makes up for that, but the screen protectors are usually scratch loving ones so it's pretty scratched while using handwriting recognition sys..
->though it has a 3.5mm i found that some headphones give pretty low volume audio with the phone
->and it is pretty much of an indoor phone, once you get it outside the display becomes almost invisible....but inside the display is a beauty to look at
