I got mine 2 weeks ago, I prefered this instead Samsung 5230 because the wifi extra, pretty nice phone, great video quality on MP4 and for me still enought capacity of the microSD included 4GB. Still testing but this will be mi phone for a wile,

anybody tells me about the sound quality and loudness of 5530's loudspeakers? compared to 5800, are they the same? coz I love 5800's loudspeakers and wish 5530's are also good.

I chose 5800 > 5530, bc of GPS, bigger screen, and Zeiss lens. Great phone for $225USD, and no issues except a couple of hangs in two months (batt in/out fix).

i got a new 5530xm few days back and it works perfectly nice one from nokia a really value for money eventhough 3g is missing and also gps wifi makes this unit more useful in net browsing and it also install a third party application themes games etc.

I am telling to all as to why there is delay in releasing 5530XM in INDIA till now.
They released this phone in end August 2009 in Europe, Middle East [Gulf Countries] and some south east Asian countries. I Purchased this phone in QATAR 40 Days Back and i can tell you honestly and and frankly that though it is a good phone it has some software issues or you can say bugs which needed to be sorted out and solved before it could be unleased in the mass market in INDIA. I Had a problem whithin 8 days when the phone went Kaput??.Blank??.
I took it to the Local NOKIA Agency here and after keeping it for 3 days they called me and replaced with a new 5530XM saying that the previous one had a hardware problem....OK...agreed...
Again after 10 days the new one stopped showing missed/recieved calls log. You could view only Dailled numbers.
By now i was angry and fired the Tech staff. Now they said that it had a software problem. They made a hard reset and installed latest software now it is working OK. I suspect that they were working for a solution for this bug and they solved it in 45 days.
Now since last 45 days it price has dropped almost IRs 2200/- from its launch date.
What does it mean.
Some one here told me that Nokia will now dump all the unsold 5530XM from other markets to INDIA as because it is a Touch-Screen phone so no need to change key pad language button from other languages worldwide.
But even after my experience i can tell you that its a phone worth buying.
ADVANTAGES
Camera - Good for me.
Video Camera - Good for me
WI-FI - Quick...with good scanning & Signal.
Music/Podcasting/Video viewing very good.
Games are Nice. and many many more.
SYMBIAN Phone- you can install free third party Themes-games -softwares etc.
ONLY BAD.
Wobbly back cover...One day it fell from my hand and the the 1.Back cover 2.phone 3.battery were scattered in different directions. [ i applied my own solution i.e put 2 very small pieces of transperent cellotape sideways and its 100% OK]. Now...no movements.
SCREEN IS NOT GOOD in Bright sunlight...you have to squint your eye or move to shade to view details propery. [I have good eye sight and do not wear Glasses]. It looks very good and clear indoors though
This my honest review ....if you can overlook this 2 points then it is cheap at its price.
I do not regret purchasing it.

Hi I'm thinking about buying a touchscreen (never had one),my choice is between this one and samsung star (5230).considering that i use the phone only to make calls and texting, which one would you suggest me? here in italy there's a sizeable difference in price too: nokia 249€ samsung 149€!

bad, 13 Oct 2009black colour or white colour better? plz suggest me....white. the black looks cheap and boring but the white in blue looks great. I havent seen the white in pink though
