When i goto Ovi store from mobile, even if WLAN is active, why does it connect via gprs? I have set higher priority for WLAN.

is 5800 hv tur... moreProblem resolved..I have turned off auto scanning of wifi....
@AD speed dialling is there...Camera is good with latest firmaware version definitely better picture than shown in most of the websites.....Even at night time picture is good now...But is not better than my n73 ME phone.....I hope it will in next update...Apart from camera everything else u asked I will only say one word best....Even its less bulky than my n73 so i find it very handy...Its been one week now and i am very satisfied with it......
Again it all depends on ur choice...
Initially i thought i will repent once 5530 comes out :)) but I am very happy now...so no more worry for me.......

is 5800 hv speed dial func?
i m planning to buy a phone between 9th - 19th Oct.
Here 5800 price is 13,300 (Mobile store) with Seni.Headset. Priority price is 13,500 with Seni.Headset.
In Chennai NPD also giving a Reebok Sunglass. Is it true?, if so, is this only for chennai?

Hey Eshaan/Mangesh.....
I can see my phone always show a wreless icon at top right corner near to battery indicator....Always means whenever there is a wifi network nearby...
Is there any setting where i can off my wireless scanning....I feel this scan takes more batery.....
About battery life...after using it heavily(about 1hr talk/1hr music/3hr browsing/other phone apps usage around 4hr) my battery last for around 30 hours which i feel is ok...
Otherwsie with normal usage its lasting around 2+ days...
I feel if i will be able to stop this wreless scanning i can get 3-4 hrs of more battery life....

Hey mangesh congrats buddy ...even i feel very relaxed aftdr getting 5800 it...dis is really a good choice for me. touch response is very nice..guyz whoever still waitin vor 5530 best of luck to them... I feel both the phone 5800 n 5530 will be gr8....
@mangesh buddy we have already planned for 19th october. I hope monsoon will be over by than : )

Vineet Taneja,Director-Marketing Nokia,India said in an interview dat 5530 XM wil b in markets in October 2009 & 5230 wil b release in November.

I finally bought 5800 y... moreGud to hear that dude....and u r frm a really beutiful place, i spent 4days of my tour there and it was such a great place...
@cris: i think u encountered a damaged phone, cause i've had this phone for over a week and i've faced any of such bugs/lags. It's an awesome phone guys, 2.9in screen is not that small and the touch is responsive enough for a resistive screen, u cannot expect iphone like experience with resistive screen.. And it is fast no lags so far..

Hey be careful before you purchase this fone, as it had good specs but that's all it had,
I went to a nearby shop to try it and was disappointed.
it's like really unresponsive and slow, and I tried to use the touch buttons and they hardly respond unless you leave your finger on em for a long time. And the phone is like slow, I tried to take a video and nothing came out and it stopped without me realising I had stopped it, and when I hit the red key to get back to the homescreen, I had to wait about 4 seconds for it to get there, and i found the whole system not so good personally.
If I may say something in favor, although gsmarena said that the text is tiny due to the smallish screen, imo it is not true, I found the text size easy to work with. and the keyboard size was ample too.
Good Luck, but for the price I think I'd go for the 5630.
The sound really is brilliant though, albeit not so loud.

I finally bought 5800 yesterday for 13.8k in Goa! Whew! What a respite from 4 months of wait.
Phone is not that large, easily fits pocket! Touchscreen is finger friendly and improved sensitivity. Speed is decent! Video player can play high res mp4 (high bit rate) and is smooth. Camera is ok but better than sample pics from reviews. VGA Video camera is good! I was able to transfer data via pcsuite using csv file. But i transferred contacts using MS office synchronization (via pcsuite). There Synchronization features like ActiveSynch winmo devices!
Whats the price of screen protector?
@anil. Wait for the monsoon to end. Currently weather is horrible. Its raining very heavily in goa. Some places in south are flooded. Normally it stops raining in first week of October and mild summer (winter) starts. Nov to Jan are best months in Goa! Calangute is a nice beach. But its quite dangerous. Don't go too much in water. You should go for a package tour which includes transportation. Since transport is costly specially taxi guys charge heavily. Buses are available during day time upto 8pm :-( There are very few Auto rickshaws. Most residents in goa have to rely on own vehicles. You can also hire motorcycles here, but helmets are a must (Beware of RTOs). Goa is a small state, you can cover it in a short time.
Famous Beaches: Calangute, Baga, Colva (crouded), Palolem, Miramar, Benaulim, Betalbatim, Uttorda
Churches,Temples: Old Goa, Shantadurga Temple, Mangeshim temple..
Famous Cities: Panjim, Margao
Places to visit: Dona Paula, Aguada Fort, Santa Monica (Cruise at Panjim)..
