Hi guys...just bought a new 5530.....bought it grey market....couldnt wait any longer.....:)
can someone tell me how can i transfer msgs from my n73ME to my new 5530....the msgs are saved on my mmc in my n73....any help will be appreciated....

Anil, 29 Sep 2009@Mangesh....check out in what format you contacts are saved... morethanx anil. the sony ericsson pcsuite backed up a .mpb file. I have renamed it to .zip and was able to unzip the same. Inside there are .vcf files (VCard format). I wonder wehther .vcf can be imported in 5800.
So I tried another software "MyPhoneExplorer" and exported contacts, calendar to CSV as you suggested.

Are u visiting 5800 forum regularly....If yes rep... more@Anil , i havent yet bought it. Like I said, i want a phone that is smaller in size, so still hanging on for some more time. Lets see.
Like you said, both 5800 and 5530 are of the same platform and so all the appln and stuffs must be compatible on both. Hopefully after each of have one of this device in our hands, we would still be posting and checking this forum to share everything. I never knew we would find friends while posting in forum. I dont mind checking either this or 5800 forum, but i dont want to miss out any postings.
@Mangesh, so looks like you also got the 5800 ?

@Mangesh....check out in what format you contacts are saved...If its in ".csv" format u can easily port it to 5800....
Just use your pc suite and export contacts..check the file format.....

I am liking ti now....touch sensitivity is very good now...and camera quality as told before is much improved...
Just off touch vibration and than use u will feel the touch as very smooth...
Buddy music really rocks in 5800...I am downloading 100 free songs from nokia music store....
Hey if u don't have that offer i can get u from bangalore...i am coming to goa by 16th oct.....
@Rajeev phone is very handy...Just got scracth gurad on it.....Univercell has 5% cash back offer on hdfc card...which will reduce the price to 13.3 k.....

I currently have SE K790i phone. Is there an easy way to transfer phonebook,reminders,tasks to 5800?
Here in goa i dont think they have sennheisser offer for 5800. In goa, gadgets are costlier than other cities but hard drinks are cheap though :-(

FoR all of you,who have ended up buying 5800,waiting for 5530..plzz tell me how is the touch sensitivity and camera picture quality of 5800 plzzz reply ASAP..because i can't wait anymore for 5530...if touch sensitivity of 5800 is good,i will go for that..im getting it for 13,200rs with sennheiser headphones!

Hey, try to install apps from nokia beta labs. My cousin showed me some cool apps on his 5800 today, I was very impressed!
