Hey guys... this is really bad. Called Nokia priority dealer just now. He says maybe this month end release. I told, i heard its coming only in november for which he said, dont know.. its new phone so we dont know when it will come. and btw 5800 costs 14500 inclusive of VAT at this nokia priority dealer ( chennai )

The new sw 31.0.008 is out for 5800 but no kinetic scrolling or new homescreen.its minor update so nothing much.if you have v30 then donot bother

is it true that touchscreen has a life of 2yrs and after that it has to be replaced?

today i visited the Nokia priority-vashi-mumbai....it seems that they r still living in stone age...whn asked the price of 5800....they told me 17+K...n all the features are available....it seems they dont even wht is going around everywhere else.....;)

new 5800 hav firmware v30 which was released jst last month.
So i can say u can go for 5800 without any probz....

erm....now i am looking for a good touch screen phone...but not too expensive...then got who buy this nokia phone already? got any problem for this phone? compare to 5800 express music,which one more better?

This phone just started selling in shops in Singapore. Retail price is SGD399. However can be bought through online dealers at a slightly lower price of SGD378.

Hi everyone....
I'm from pune....u won t believe it but dere is a shop here selling d 5530 for 14500....grey market....i checked d phone out....
it looks gorgeous.... ;)
apart from dat d 5 mins i used it it felt good....not much different from a 5800 apart from kinetic scrolling...
didnt buy it coz d shopkeeper was offering no bill n warranty.... :( ....which is a major dissapointment as it is always risky buyin a touch screen without warranty....
All am tryin to ay is try lookin around in ur neighbourhood stores....n i mean d ones apart from priority dealers....may be they'll have d phone....

I have had this phone for a week now and its fantastic. First of all it has not crashed or caused problems. The screen gs so clear and sharp battery life is good and so is build quality except the battery cover which wobbles a little. The phone is very brisk in file browsing for music pics and also internet. Menus very easy to use and fast. Camera and video look amazing on its screen. Overall great phone well done to Nokia for producing a quality phone at a cheap price that is better than the Star or Cookie. Oh i also forgot the music player is great sound too. Buy it.

that wud b pathetic then if Nokia has NO PLANS of providing kinetic scrolling and updated homescreen on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic handset. :( :(
