"Our test revealed the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic as a gifted long-distance performer. The handset endured some good 5 days on a single charge, which included the moderate 1 hour of talk time, 30 minutes of web browsing over Wi-Fi and shooting some 20-30 photos plus some general tinkering."
Is battrey that good? Pls let me know..

I guess that is because Nokia has a manufacturing unit here in Chennai. They may be manufacturing the low end phones. The touch phones probably should come from other countries.

I think nokia-india is targeted for "Aam Admi" (Common man). They quickly launch very cheap (under 5k INR) phones.

How is 5530's sunglight legibility in comparison to 5800?
Is 5530's sunlight legibity so bad that one is not able to even see calling number/name or phonebook to dial a number?

and dear u know its a smartphone....
so i recommend u 5530.

Star 3G lacks qwerty func & small screen.
Star lacks flash on camera and bad video.
both version lacks wifi.
But price is far better than Nokia 5530. So in doubt, wht to select among these 3.

Hey there...finally after so much waiting...saw the real phone set in singapore yday at M1 and Singtel outlets. I happened to be the 1st customer to ask abt this phone yesterday and the sales guy told me the stock just reached! So he showed me the actual phone and had a quick fiddling with the hp...indeed the screen is quite small, fonts seem small too but not sure if able to set to different font size..overall not bad..the launch price is $468 w/o contract, comes with 4GB memory card.

I have read reviews of this phone saying although build quality is very good the battery cover wobbles a little. Is this true anyone who has it? Also how is the signal reception on it?
