if they piece is launched at 14k then it would not be wise to go for it in comparison to 5800 which is now available for 16.5k....a mere difference of 2.5k where as feature a huge difference....what do u guys say......i believe starting price should not be more than 12.5k but nokia will definitely launch it some where near 14k only........

How is 5530's sunglight legibility in comparison to 5800?
Is 5530's sunlight legibity so bad that one is not able to even see calling number/name or phonebook to dial a number?

Guys, Here in the philippines this phone has not been released also. I don't know why the heck they are trying to delay the releasing of this damn phone. I've been waiting for this phone for over two months now. First they say aug, then only was released in UK, then now they say september, now october! for pete's sake, can anyone tell me when exactly? I'm literally bugging the Nokia store every week but they say they are not sure themselves. I don't think I can last waiting just for another month. It's really frustrating me!

Yaah if they are planning to launch by sept end, its ok....even i can wait for few weeks, but think of a situation after waiting so long the initial price will be very high, may be 14k plus....do u guys still go for it.....???
Anyway maybe even i will wait for its availability...I have sold my n73ME n using my old 1100......lets wait n see which phone i will end up buying.........
I hope price will be within 13k....

5530 only has the blue on white and red on black colors.
the other mentioned in specs are not true!

Guys!!! Yesterday I again went and asked at a Nokia store about 5530 and he said that since the festive season is round the corner in India, they'll probably release the phone by the end of September.
It sounds pretty logical to me. We've been hearing about the downfall of Nokia's market value, so I guess this is a smart move by them to increase their sales.
Anyways, I want this phone. When I've waited 3 months for it, few weeks is not a big deal.

because of this faulty marketing strategy and only few models of touchscreen compared to ld and samsung nokia is losing its share in mobile market.nobody is going to wait forever for the phones to come if somebodr needs a phone then he might wait for 1-2 weeks and get whatever is best available for his needs and the price.waiting for one damn phone for months its crazy world is much more than the single mobile phone so my suggestion to everyone is stop wasting time on waiting for mobile just go get one available in market and move on.donot waste time on waiting for mobile unless you do not have anything better to do but iam sure evryone has something better to do than just waiting for a mobile.

I m also very disappointed with NOKIA. I m using 6233 from last 1 year and I have no problem with it. But the launch of these cheap handset is too much delayed. its really disappointing. I love nokia for their quality and durable handsets, but why this delay. I also believe that Samsung and LG is winning battle here, just because of this delay from nokia.

its not only in india that they delyed to release the this phone.. i am in malaysia n has not been released here too.. i asked nokia malaysia about its availability n they said tey dont know when they will release as the phone has to meet the goverment and carrier regulations, and it is yet to be realeased... i dont know where this crap is from but it is really frustrating.. i hav waited for two months for this phone.. but i think i can wait 2 weeks more..
a frind of mine has got it in the UK n he says its awesome... so all of u who are planning on changin your mind on this phone.. try n thonk twoce about it.... we hav waited this long.. n a week or two isnt goin to be too bad if its worth the wait..!!!
plus i doubt the OS on the sumsung touchscreens... i had a terrible experience with the first omnia....!!
m verry pissed at nokia but i think i can wait a week or two n see how....!!!

I bought this phone from Carphone Warehouse in Inverness over a week ago now and i am loving it, the camera is really not that bad for a 3.2mp, the menu's are straightforward and so simple, the touch sensitive display always works one touch, the video playback in widescreen is a bonus, symbian operating software and i've already found loads o free apps through the bookmarks pre-installed in the phone without GPRS charges as the phone has the built in wifi. Overall, i've had approx 29 phones over 5 years and this is the best i've had yet. just waiting for my 16gb memory card now :D p.s. cheap too! great value!
