@eshaan....Price of 5800 is still 17k in india...and it will release in 12k prce tag so there is 5k diffrenece which is very good comparing the downgrade they have done. I mean there is not much cut down from 5800 infact more of a upgraded phone.....
Ok the goodies which u were given to 5800 customers were removed like extra 4gb card, pouch etc....
features iwse it is better than 5800 for sure......
Also don't try to highlight specific bad point from the review there are so many good point mentioned y can't u highliht that..........
About kinetic scrlling in web browser ...sss it may be lill bit slow as compared to other screen but far far better than web browsing in 5800.....
People can complain about no3g no gps I agreee...but noway u can compare it with 5800...its far better than 5800 with alomost everything upgarded from 5800......

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970wht???this phone is truly value for money,its for people who cannot afford high end phones so if you dont like it just stop complaining and buy some other phone which suits you there are thousands other to choose from.
for those complaining about 3g go and buy 5800 this phone is for the masses and will do very well in countries,like india where 3g is not a priority.3g is just born in india and will take more than a year to get adopted by people and companies.
wifi very well suffices for lack of 3g and still this phone does have gprs and edge which is currently in use.
this phone provides real bang for the bucks and will be a bestseller.

I've been using 5800 for four months, and I've been reading and watching stuff bout Nokia 5530 for some time now. I've gotta say, good job everyone. Now can anybody tell me if downgrading to 5530's a good idea? Also, I read gsmarena's review and I saw snaphots of 5530's music player; the music player doesn't have a wallpaper/background but in a video that I saw on youtube, it has that xpressmusic stripes background. ???

Pls i nid urgent help.hw can i access the contacts in my sim.i av contacts in ma sim but d seem inaccessable.wen i open the sim numbers bar 4rm d contacts options,i only c service nums n fixd dialing only in my 5530.pls HELP.

5530 looks better than 5800 with steel in front not cheap plastic and its faster and doesnt hang, 5800 had many firmware upgrades but still no use and now soon its price will fall after 5530 came....

That is sad becasue that was one of the main plus points of the 5530

It is definitely better designed and kinetic scrolling. That's the only advantage over the 5800.
But it's yet a brilliant phone for the price (if it becomes around 12k).
This part was interesting...
Finally we come to the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic's bigger brother - the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. The S60 touch pioneer is equipped with a larger screen and built-in GPS, plus the 3G network data, which are all pretty major upgrades. With the prices of the two pretty close at the moment thanks to some heavy carrier subsidizing, it's only the compact body and the somewhat better design that speak in favor of the 5530.
So maybe it is just better buying the 5800 as it become quite cheap. If you had an option between 5530 for 14k and 5800 for 16k what would you take?

I hope the phone will serve its purpsoe and be as strong as 3310.Nigerians in my area Utako prefer Nokia phones that are strong and the mega pixels are crystalized.

Yaah even i think popularity is not yet so much in india due to lack of advtsng....They will not do that mistake by keeping its price very high initially as there are lot of good phones inline in nov-dec timeframe...
and if price will be high it will not able to capture its market....
Don't worry guyzzz if it crosses 13k(though my assumption 12k) we will do strike as we already spend so much time for this phone... :)))))

i think the phone will be php9000 in philippines. well that's just a verdict. let's just wait a couple of weeks after it's release in philippines, because initial pricing will be too high.. like 5800 (19000 became 15000 in just a couple of weeks) and now it's only php13000+

due to much excitement about this phone its price is going to be higher in india ....if people not give to much importance to it its price is going to be low.....
but i like this phone very much and waiting for it as others...
