Are the PAYG Nokia's 5530 from Carphone Warehouse locked or unlocked? I'm thinking about buying the one with a Vodafone credit.

Anonymous, 18 Aug 2009i dont know !!! i tried to download some softwares from net... moremaybe some memory write error.. i had such a problem with my motorola few years back..so i did a hard reset as suggested by the Mobile Shop and it worked..
try formating the memory..
if nothing works try hard reset-if this is available for 5800 just like on s60v2/3 devices..
that should do the trick..
before formating backup all your contacts, calendar, and other data..

I know all the features present in 5800 are t... moreWell for starters the camera on the 5800 is better because it has dual flash and video recording s also better.
And with the firmware upgrade version 30 it is now very very fast so it does not lag like it was known to earlier. Im sure it's as fast as the 5530 now though the 5530 could possibly get faster.
Also gps. I though it would be rubbish but it indeed quite brilliant to get around the town. It's a pity 5530 does not have it.
The 5530 has a better design though and fits better in the hand however the screen of the 5800 is bigger and better.
3G is preety useless because vodafone don't yet have it and i use wifi all the time anyway.
5800 has tv out capability and a nice case for the phone. After using this i would honetly reccomend people to buy this.
If the difference in price between the 5530 and 5800 is not much then you should definitely go for the 5800.
I saw the 5530 for 17k in the grey market which is why i did not go for it.
5800 is superior in performance and functionalties and but 5530 has a better design and also has kinetic scrolling which is just found in few places in the 5800.
All in all their both quite similar phones and both are brilliant.

I mean every application u run requires some virtual memory to run or technically u can page memory....
Now if u have enough RAM in ur mobile than u can open al ur apps wo delay....
Hear don't confuse with CPU power.....cpu power will help u run ur apps faster once its opened....
in a nutshell if u have both RAM & cpu of good amount than ur phone will work very smoothly....
