Not too many people know about the 5530 while absolutely everyone knew about the 5800 with it being the first touch phone by nokia.

          The 5800 also sells alot more than the N97, for the same reason.

            coth, 15 Aug 2009mobile-review was reporting about 100% speaker defect. with... moreFunctionality does not equate to Features.

            A feature is having GPS or 3G. Whether that FEATURE works properly and is functional belongs in PERFORMANCE.

            Performance is HOW FAST it's working, and also HOW GOOD it works.

            And about the speakers, you must mean the EARPIECE problem, which has been fixed on models produced after February of this year, and you can also get it repaired for free at a Nokia store, or even do it yourself, it's quite simple.

            GSMARENA even talked about it on their review.

            Speakers are a whole different thing.

            About the stylus holder, though I haven't got that problem, it's easily fixable, either with Nokia or by yourself.

            And really, don't bother giving me the links. I can't read russian and google translator isn't all that good.

            Thanks anyway, at least you try to convey your point using logical arguments. Can't say the same to some other people here...

                    IEatCookiesForBreakf, 15 Aug 2009Well, everyone is free to vote however they want. As for... morethe phone is still poorly available. As I got it only in Russia and UK. And in Russia it's available just in two shop. Very expensive shop. Still it's already on 13th place by popularity in Moscow (5800 is currently on 1st place). Samsung GT-S5230 on second and N97 on third. Give it a time to get full availability and it will because a lot more popular than 5800. Eldar in MR Review think absolutely the same - '5530 is a bestseller with no rivals'.

And benchmarks will never give ... moremobile-review was reporting about 100% speaker defect. within some time they gets broken because they are not fixed inside. stylus is fixed on the backcover by a small fixer that gets broken very oftenly. if you read some forums you can found - absolute majority faced those problems.

                      software is about functionality, not about performance. performance is about how fast it is working.

                      oh come on, don't try to say kinetic scrolling is useless and you almost don't need it. in 100% of cases it makes you life and usage a Lot (from big letter) easier. moving scrollbars all the time is annoying and non-effective...

                      @DK Nian
                      With 5530 you need stylus only in one case. To get flash card out. Because it's located very deep and the finger won't fit into the hole. To control the phone you don't need stylus at all.
                      5800 comes with two, because stylus fixers are very weak and could get broken very easily. 5530 has got very strong fixation. The battery is enough to withstand 1 day of medium usage. 5800 is able to withstand 1,5 days of medium usage, so you still have to recharge it daily. 5530 life cycle is just slightly lesser than G900.

                      so battery power is enough.

                      @Stuart
                      the phone display will automatically unlock when alarm is on. you just need to move your finger by a green line from left to right, or by red line from right to left.

                        Well, everyone is free to vote however they want.

                        As for me, I'll have to agree with the voting results of both phones. I do prefer the 5800, and it seems most people do as well.

                          coth, 15 Aug 2009@IEatCookiesForBreakf more speaking of hardware difference... moreIt's 434MHz. It's official. And benchmarks will never give you the exact number.

                          As for those "defects", I see no malfunction, even GSMARENA says good things about the speakers on the 5800.

                          And if you have a problem with your stylus and speakers, know that I don't. So instead of thinking that just because your phone has a problem then everyone else's has it as well, stop to think and consider that your phone might have a problem others don't.

                            coth, 15 Aug 2009Rajeev 5530 - 10790 in Nokia and 10699 in Eldorado Europe... moreLol. I'm 185cm tall, and I do have large fingers.

                            And about features, kinetic scrolling is just cool looking, and while the homescreen and other stuff are good, sorry but it's not worth the 4GB less, no 3G or GPS, worse battery life and camera. Even if you don't use that it doesn't mean it's not there, they are there and in greater number on the 5800 than on the 5530.

                            What you call features (software) belongs in PERFORMANCE. Because that's what it's about, the device's performance.
