hi i have upload the 5530 XpressMusic review from mobile-review.com but the probleme is that it is not in english . its original size is 120 Mb . i it takes 5 h to upload so please rate

There is big confusion about the price of this handset in India. considering its specs, it cant be more than 12000 or 13000. Some of the Nokia store in my locality even dont know about this handset. Can anybody give me location of nokia store which can help me get the correc price for this handset and availibility?

i love x-plore...'it's not touch friendly'...so is it not optimised for touch?? then how to use it on 5530??

and i have been trying to get ans for this for a long time now..i hope you will answer:
If it records videos at VGA 30fps then it should have no problem is playing videos of 640 by 480 30fps 2Mbps right??
and does it play similar videos of wmv and flv???
and what about videos of resolution higher than 640 by 480???

if the inbuilt video player does not support these then coreplayer sure does, right??

Please reply...i wanna get rid of all those conversions..

and a review at techradar said that it had some network reception problem,it said that the network connection suddenly disappears and takes time for re-connection...Have you encountered similar problem????

Yes its vga 30fps!!! gsmarena verified it look at the specs but they said its has poor quality.. they said it on tne nokia 5730 review.. they had a typo error there thay wrote 5540.. hheheheh

Though you're gonna say that the 5530 has more features than the 5800? Besides kinetic scrolling and the homepage? It's missing an extra 4GB, dual LED, GPS and 3G (I know you don't need them but those are still features), battery life.

And all of that is worth less than kinetic scrolling and a better homepage? Wow.

And usability belongs in performance, not features.

I for one consider the design better on the 5800, but that's me.

"larger completely inconsistent forms" means?

It has a larger screen, meaning wider touch area and video and picture display. It's black instead of grayish.

What do you mean by inconsistent?

1. it misses 3g and gps. but if you live in a place which you perfectly know you don't need gps. there is no 3g in moscow. and all of them 5530, 5800 and n97 misses 4g. so i don't care on that point as well.
2. dumping

that's all. two useless features made it cheaper for $100 rubles. but it's got a lot of pluses, all for free due to dumping.

i wouldn't give it 10/10/10. my rating was 5/8/8, comparing to 8/8/5 of se g900 and 4/7/8 of 5800.

7 in features for 5800 because its poor usability in lists with no kinetic scrolling. and 4 in design due to larger completely inconsistent forms.

iphone is still poor smartphone due to limited sdk and development tools.

Though I'd like to point out the tiny small little fact you forgot to research...

The 5800 has (quite some time ago) gotten an update so it's proc is (and has been for quite some time) at 434Mhz.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970No, it's very good phone. For its price - it's fast, it's very usable, it's got all symbian functionality, it's got very sharp display and it's very small. It's better than 5800 XM and it's hell a lot better than SE G700 and G900.

for those who is looking for good themes there is one very good producer. se7en red and mars themes perfectly fits on black/red 5530

about software

if you are looking for web browser you should know - there is no any good for s60 atm.
- s60 browser is not really well comfortable
- digia @web is 3rd party interface for s60 browser, somewhere better than s60 browser, somewhere worse.
- ucweb is buggy
- opera mini is unstable

but opera mobile, which is very very good is in development.

weather programs.
for russians i would recommend spb weather. yes, there is free s60v5 version and it is the best weather program for s60, but with russian cities only. otherwise you can go with handy weather or accuweather. second is free but laggy a little bit.

skype true voip client. fring has nearly twice smaller bitrate than nimbuzz. therefore voice quality is worse, but still good. so if you want to save money and/or bandwidth on 3g/wi-fi you have to go with fring.

maps.
google maps is good, but ui font size is very small. if you are from russia you have to go with yandex maps. it has better interface, better traffic reports, works faster and you can predownload a complete cache for many cities via pc.

file managers.
x-plore is very functional, but it's not a friend with touch screen, so at the time you don't need x-plore functionality you can use y-browser.

multimedia.
xpress music player is very disappointing. no current queue feature, no flac support, poor interface etc. for flac support and for songs without tags you can use folder play. in other way power mp3 is good. the only things you can't use them as default system music program. at least at the moment. there are also some good programs like jukebox (bad with touch) or coreplayer

book reader
isilo and zxreader - both are good.

office programs. officesuite and quickoffice are two main. both support office 2007 file types.

msn client.
msn messenger is quite bad, full of ads. as msn isn't a highly functional protocol you can just use fring or nimbuzz from above.

icq client.
qip pad does not support s60v5 atm. development is very slow. don't know how well fit boyan icq. so mainly there are two - jimm (aspro or d[i]chat) on java and mail.ru mobile agent.

jabber client.
most of well known jabber clients does not make their services highly functional. so if you are using mail.ru agent for icq - it's also support jabber protocol with gtalk, ya.online and livejournal preinstalled settings. if you are using fring or nimbuzz for skype/msn you can use it for jabber as well. but fring support only gtalk.

phonetinfo is good to get full information about your phone. it's unsigned.

certificates.
you can quickly get your certificate on

note your phone number should have 11 digits and should begin from 13, 15 or 18

to sign unsigned or your software you with personal certificate you can use freesigner.

tourch.
brightlight and phone tourch are two good. first is very minimalistic and looks good. second allows you to use morse code and to use green and red lights.

its cost is 26000 in pakistan but ppl r seeling it on black price rangig frm 27000-29000,,,so frnds wait a bit...it'll b coming down to 22000 sooon...
