Anonymous, 26 Jun 2009not a mistake.. look at the price. it's for those who doesn... morewe all want for that to be the REAL price but we all know that it isn't

NOKIA has made a habit out of announcing WAY LOWER prices than the real ones. Same appened with the 5800, 6700, etc, etc.

So, it is surely going to be MORE than 200euro ...personally..think that it will be around 270 (i work in the mobile phone industry and this is the case with most models)

it's just a marketing strategy, getting people to really want the model, pre-ordering it..thus when it does appear as available, everyobe will be so keen on getting it that they will blindly pay MORE than expected !

firstly, another nice phone by Nokia.
I already used Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.
        Really satisfied with my phone.
This new phone, 5530 XM will be cheaper than 5800 XM.
But, some specs are reduced like memory card, only 4Gb. [5800 XM have 8Gb free memory card]. The audio jack now at the bottom of the phone. For me, the audio jack of Nokia 5800 is more cool because at the top of the phone.
        BTW, nice phone...love it...

Alex, 27 Jun 2009Everyone that is complaining about this phone not having Wi... more@Alex
              Nokia 5530XM is having WIFI. (802.11 b/g)
As far as 3G is concerned it will be necessary to have 3G capable phone in coming days. GSM is 2G (Second Generation) and now all the operators are trying to upgrade to 3G (Third generation) which includes Spread Spectrum techniques.
When all the operators will upgrade to 3G, you will have to throw 2G phones in dustbins.

Everyone that is complaining about this phone not having WiFi or 3G, not being the internet phone that the iPhone is, etc are not looking at this phone for what it is designed to be. It is designed to be a unit that can call, text, check email, organize, and play music. That's it. It is a mid range phone that is for a user that is not bent on having the latest and the best. Personally, I want to buy this phone because it has everything I need and nothing useless for my tastes. I don't need WiFi, I don't need 3G, I don't need to be able to go on facebook 24/7. I need a phone that will call, text, have some music on it, have my schedule in it, and look nice.

                                      Hi

I purchased a Nokia 5800 on 24 January 2009 in Pune (India) and have been facing problems ever since.

                                      1. Within 2 weeks of purchase, the earpiece was not functioning well. I took the handset to Akshay Telecom, FC Road, Pune and they repaired the earpiece. However, after the phone was opened, I noted dust particles in the display, and same can be seen till date. Earpiece problem has been a worldwide problem

                                      2. The Nokia maps license simply "disappeared". Note that I was supposed to get 90 days free licence. I made over 50 calls, registered complaints (call reference numbers 2-3QWR71, 2-3RDU7L, 2 2-3RSLYD and 1-6912363409). Nokia contacted me and gave me a 1 month licence (no CD 6114 8134 8726) till the time they were investigating the issue. However, no-one contacted me till date.

                                      3. Since a week, I have display problems. - fuzzy lines seen (this problem is worldwide - refer to

I called Nokia centre - they told me they will change LCD (whereas I want the phone to be replaced) and this too will take 30 days as parts are not with them right now. Will someone please advise me what to do. I want Nokia to replace the phone. Please let me know how I can get this issue resolved amicably without court case.

                                      Thanks
