My brother had this device; its pretty amazing. Camera is good. Music playing is quite impressive. The speaker phone sounds like u got it hooked up to a mini-speaker. : ) battery life could stay as much as 24 hours just playing music but for making phone calls & other stuff, usually it will just take a day to be drained.

As much as possible, if u can get urself a rubber protector; it could at least avoid any cracks on phones. Also this phone I believe has aresistive touchscreen ( meaning to say it mainly respond to pressure touch from either stylus pen or fingers but not like IPhone that has capacitive touchscreen which respond to electric signals coming from the finger tips that is why it quickly respond. ) I have had a Samsung Corby before but I have it alway on my pocket & somehow it quit working because I beleive that I actually put weight on it. : (

its a great phone. But it does not support lot of application. And its a 2G phone nd no GPS , its realy bad. 5233 (10000tk) is 3G nd it has GPS. But 5530 (14500) is on of the best phone i have ever seen. I love this phone.

Yeah... I was about to buy Nokia N8 but then I changed my mind because its interface pretty much same as S60 V5 (just like you said) and still there is no huge application support for Symbian^3. However, still I'd love to have either N8 or C6-01 (in Which I like the design more than C7)
Regarding Samsung Wave I can say followings because I had the opportunity to hold it for few minutes (together with Galaxy S)
** Screen is superb (What they say about super AMOLED is so true.. Great colors and perfect resolution too. You can watch the phone as long as you wish...!)
** But in the same time, I would say Nokia 5530 colors were pretty natural compared to wave or galaxy S.. Those two phones have Vivid colors which are not so natural...
** Facilities wise Wave and Galaxy has great hardware (without any Doubt) but Wave's Bada is not an OS compared to Symbian...! (I'm sorry... It's nowhere near to a smart OS...) However Android has a potential so in that case Galaxy S would be better than Wave... (But for me Honestly Symbian is better than both Bada and Android... May be because I'm used to it too much... LOL...)
** Even though Wave and Galaxy S have great 1 GHz processors... They Lag..! You won't notice it if you just go through the menus... But if you go deeper in to applications and check the application start times, then only you'll realize how much they lag... (It was surprising to me too... What they say about Symbian.. as an less resource hungry OS... I think it's absolutely correct... Android is a resource hungry OS for sure...)
** Galaxy S has a cheap plastic look and you'll not want to drop it what so ever...! So I will never go for that mobile as I normally drop my 5530 mobile at least twice a week..! (If I continue to do it to a Samsung mobile, then definitely I know what would happen...) However Wave seemed pretty solid as it has got a metal cover... But still I greatly value Nokia's durability and stability over Samsung...
** I could only check the camera of Galaxy but the shot was pretty bad because of low light conditions... May be it takes better photos out side..
** After all, the most important matter for me.. MUSIC... They say Wave and Galaxy are great for Music... Yes... They are... But believe me.. I checked Galaxy S with my good old 5530 and surprisingly 5530 Music quality was way better than Galaxy S's natural sound engine...!
So my conclusion would be like this...
## If you want fancy looking eye catching mobile and if and only if you're a very careful mobile user, then you better go for Samsung Wave or Galaxy...
## If you're not looking for the fancy colors of the mobile, and if you're VERY MUCH STRICT on Music Quality, and if you're very much concerned about the stability and the durability of the product then you better move with Nokia...
Choice is yours... (I'm belonged to the second category... I don't really have to say... Right...?)

I think 5530 is one of the greatest creation of Nokia Corp. with a cheap rate (only 14500 taka). Its design is so nice and its performance is also good. So I love it and want to recommend it to all.
