I'm very sorry for your loss brother... Sometimes things happen and we can't even imagine how to bear... But you still got your beloved (may be later hated) 5530 and most probably your contacts details should be saved in phone memory too...! (if you're lucky enough)
Do not forget to back up your contacts and other important data once a while... (at least from now on...)
Good luck brother... and It's good to see you here for another period of time...!

Just install Google maps...
Please visit the following link via your phones browser.. And let it download the software and install it...
m.google.com/maps
Now open google maps in your phone and let it do the rest.. Your location will be shown by a blue dot... (Using A-GPS)
If you want a bluetooth GPS receiver, it'll be about 30 - 60 US dollars... (But if you don't want that accurate location data then you don't have to spend that money at all...)
Just try google maps and decide by yourself...

So, means that it is useless even i install the GPS software? For the Bluetooth GPS Receiver, how much the costly? Any proper way that i can do to let 5530 got a GPS or A-GPS software?

Hi,
I have bought Nokia 5530 in Feb from UK.
recently I face a problem with the touch of the phone.
when i try to select an item from a list.. it is not letting me to select instead, it is getting scrolled.
when contacted a mechanic, I was told that I need to change the touch pad. But I don't know whether to rely on him or not.
when some one told me it is due to virus, I hard coded the phone using *#7370#. now there's nothing installed in this. but still have the issue.
had anyone faced this issue?

I got some pretty bad news. . I am one of the unfortunate human beings, who had been a victim of theft. . my c905 was stolen after less than a week I bought it. . It sux I know. . :c still effing pissed bout it

5530 doesn't have GPS hardware... So even though you install some software there'll not be any difference as you've got no hardware to support...!
However there's still A-GPS which is provided by the service provider... I use A-GPS quite a lot and it's working like a charm too... My sister's phone 5800 has GPS hardware and I only has A-GPS but both devices show our locations without any huge differences... Honestly speaking 5800 most of the time is unable to catch any satellite data so most of the time it also only uses A-GPS...!
So I would say, I will not worry about GPS hardware in our country where satellite signals are somehow very weak (I don't know why...) but may be in western countries and America where so many Satellites are above them, that could be very important...
There's another option though... You can have GPS hardware out side the phone but connected to phone via bluetooth... There are GPS receivers called "Bluetooth GPS receivers" which are often cheap and handy so that you can carry anywhere... Buy one and pair it with your 5530 and enjoy your GPS powered navigation...!
