Anonymous, 01 Jan 19705610 is way better than 5310 is EVERY expect of functionality you can think of. The only reason 5310 looked attractive is because of its slim body, but I would willingly trade that off for all the goodies presented in 5610!
The deal-breaker who made me choose 5610 over 5310 is the 3G+video call support in 5610 which 5310 lacks.

For example, if you open a game with music enabled, it will cause the music to pause, and it will play the game music. But as soon as you close the game, the music will continue from where it pause earlier.
The same will happen when you make/receive a call, use the voice recorder, camera, or video camera etc.
5610 speaker is a lot clearer than N95 speaker. But their loudness are similar.

And the phone does not crack unless you smash it using a hammer...

Horrible phone. It hangs while playing music, restart on its own. If you receive a message while playing music, it will just get stuck and you will have to take out the battery to restart. I bought a 2 GB memory card as the phone comes with 512 MB memory card only, and it refused to accept it. Didnt start at all!
I have used SE's music phones also, and I must say they are brilliant pieces!

hi there.a user of nokia 5610.though i fancy the loudness of it but i xperience lagging of the phone n when i juz start up the phone,while pressing the menu button,it was hagged for a moment n it would resume n while usin the slider,the music player display of the time would not continue n stop at a time while the song is playing.i m quite dissapointed by experience the laggin of phone...:(

yes, there's a pink Nokia 5610 here in the Philippines.
anyway, i had a bad experience using this phone. i was removing all the data on my memory card (of course the micro sd was inserted) and also deleted some files in my phone memory which were my PERSONAL FILES (not those default nokia ringtones, wallpapers etc). it was all done and so i turned off my phone and charged it.
after a while, i opened it and there goes the nokia logo with the hands reaching each other. then there goes my Welcome Note. and then *poof* nothing happens. just pure white screen blinking.
what i did was to restart it all over and over again. i did everything i could like removing the batt,sim,etc.. charging it again... everything!
i brought it over to the service center and had it reflashed.. with a cost. since my nokia 5610 doesn't have a nokia care warranty.
anyway, it's fixed already and im still LOVIN this phone though i already bought a new phone which is SE k850i since i anticipated that i could sell my nokia 5610 but that dreadful thing happened. maybe my nokia committed "suicide" since "it" doesnt wanna leave me. hehe!

So is with Nokia 5310 XpressMusic, it comes with two other colors, Pink (Or Lavender I think) and Black Trims. The only different thing is, They don't keep the Metallic Gray Color, instead they have a Shiny Black color which I believe is prone in Fingerprint marks because of it's Glossyness.

Most people who bought the 5610, at least as what I've seen in my country, have got the red one. The stylish metalic red metal trim is so unique and modern-looking, it looks like a phone from the future. It does not look like any other phone Nokia has ever made, as it is completely new!!
On the other hand, I'm not saying the blue 5610 is ugly, but Nokia have made many many phones in the past with metalic grey color so it does not make it stand out at all. I thought the blue 5610 should actually come with metalic blue trimming just like the blue 5310, then it won't look so boring, but no.
BTW, are you sure Nokia made 5610 in pink? There are no such color option published at Nokia website or anywhere; are the pink 5610 casings fake? They look real ugly to me...

"5610 is newer than 6500 slide, and I think it is better because Nokia made some improvements to the original 6500 slide design and created the new 5610:
- music chip, for better music quality and use less power to play music so you can play longer hours of high quality music/video (spec sheet says up to 22 hours of music)
- music slider key for fast switching between phone mode and music player
- very beautiful casing and 10% lighter than 6500 slide by using more plastic material than metal (the plastic is actually very good quality, scratch resistant)
- smoother slide open/close mechanism (6500 slide is a bit too tight)
- replace carl-zeiss lens with a normal lens and remove tv-out function to save cost (which is why 5610 is cheaper than 6500 slide by 20%, eventhough it is newer and better in other areas)
I'd say among all the S40 (non-symbian) phones in the market today, 5610 is just like N95 among the S60 phones. Every spec it has is the best of the best and the camera is also 3.2MP like 6500 slide, and does not lose much quality (if any) anyway. I have compared the two and can't tell the difference."

I got to agree with the Review regarding this phone Nokia 5610 XpressMusic.
The phone in Red maybe "Flashier but still elegant", but the phone in Blue is more "High-End Looking". Since the Trim in the Edge is Metallic Gray, it just deceive those other people into thinking that the phone is part of the Nokia NSeries lineup.
I made a simple questioning on which color to pick in our school, and 14 our of 50 students picked Red, 7 students (only few females) picked the Pink one, and the rest keep on choosing Blue.
Some say, it's the fact that it really looked somewhat an NSeries Class.

its me, 13 Jun 2008well MaxG...its really great to have your kind concern...i ... moreActually, 5610 auto-focus needs longer time to work because the camera sensor is tiny and needs more time to absorb enought light before it can "guess" the distance of the object. The N-series has larger camera sensors so they can absorb more light in shorter period of time, so their auto-focus works faster as well.
Having small camera sensor on the 5610 is not a bad thing though... why do you think 5610 is slimmer than all the N8x/9x series so far? The only N-series slimmer than 5610 are N76 (but it has no auto-focus), and N78 (but it is not a slide phone so it SHOULD be slimmer)
