When i listen to music, the phone hangs up when a message is received...
Is this really happened to all..

dont worry owhen, you are not alone. This problem have become a trademark for 5610. if your 5610 never have this problem, i think your 5610 really have problem.

rex, here are my opinions on your "disadvantages":
(1) my slider is not loose and not too tight as well, just perfect for me
(2) I have both 5610 and N73, their camera is the same quality
(3) too bright? maybe you are too near the object (or it is already bright enough without flash) in that case turn off the flash
(4) most people who own this phone says the sound is perfect. N82 sound volume is too soft among nokias...
(5) you really enjoy the visualization? It just wastes you battery by leaving the screen on while playing music. you really look at it all the time?
(6) for the same features, symbian phones are more expensive... it's a trade off and not everybody needs smartphones
(7) no phones are perfect (which phone never ever hangs?)
(8) it's not hard, but that's personal taste
(9) 22 hours of music! what more you ask for?

If your SMS time is always wrong, go to menu => settings => date and time => date & time settings => time zone
Choose the correct time zone for your country and the SMS time will now show correctly.

hi all....
although i'm not using this phone but i'm really loves this phone in terms of design,the sound and camera quality.
but below is a list of cons on 5610 which makes me decide not to get it
1)sometimes cannot detect memory card. sensitive back cover.sometimes when u push or knock on the back cover, it cannot detect the memory card already.
2)HANGS/RESTART!!! This is a fact.you have to remove the battery to restart it if it's hangs and we all know the back cover of 5610 is VERY HARD to open.
3)caller ID...cannot link the caller or sender with it's phone book.
even the latest firmware cannot solve these problem and i heard that nokia have stop producing this phone.

5610 disatvantage
(1)loose slider
(2)camera is not good if we compare it with N73
(3)dual led flash make so bright that all colour get wash up
(4)not good sound has 5700 and N82 have
(5)old style music player no visualization
like N73me,N82,5700
(6)No OS support
(7)some time hand
(8)memory card locatation is hard
(9)battery power is all weak

i found more sound on nokia 6085 if we compare 5610
i just up the equalizer and sound become large then my 5610

hey guys, i got this phone a few months ago, but i really regret it because tmobileUSA is coming out with on the 21st. But since i didnt get it from tmobile, I cant get the settings right and can't access my email, aol. I was just wondering, when this phone comes out with tmobile, would i be able to upgrade the firmware to the one that tmobile has? if not is there a way to access my email through the phone directly? Thanks

In the review as u c its written gotta love music! so this phone is dedicated for music loverS!i will talk in details abt this phone since i owned it 4 months ago and its still wiz me :)!
Camera:3.2 megapixel excellent resolution 2 flashs
Video:Good,clear
Speaker:Excellent clarity of the sound,1 speaker only but trust me its good enough!the music is loud equipied by an equalizer to choose the style u prefer...Music player is amazing,it has got music player theme
Display:16 million color!very good screen:big enough (2.2inch)
Memory card and phone memory:well the phone memory is small (20mb)thats why u can put memory card up to 4 Gb!
New Features in this phone like yahoo go,downloader,installer,search,sensor..etc
The big advantage of the phone is that it has got like a mouse where u can go to radio and music player
i dunno why voting results are less than 8:S this phone deserves more
As u see ive put in details what this phone has
so sometimes , this phone restarts ... while u listen alot of music it restarts
and when the MMC(memory card ) is almos full the phone makes screen freeze
i just love this phone ! i wonder why there are many haters
Lets make it clear : THE ONE WHO LOVES MUSIC SHOULD DEFINETLY BUY THIS PHONE

Ridiculous!!! its front panel is so sophisticated that one slight drop would break into 2...or perhaps more. Hangs and restarts of its own. You cannot use its other camera i.e. the front cam.
It was my first nokia phone after atleast 3 SE, and its a dissappointment just like HTC.

Nokia 5610 is super mobile. Sound and Video calrity is good also the Photos capturing with high quality. Sound is equal to Ipod ( when we connect to the head phones), Out speaker is not giveing much sound but quality is good. i suggest to you is buy this and it is worth.

It is a stylish mobile with good enough camera.
n73 --> camera , symbian
5610--> music clarity , style.(3.2 Mp non-tessar lens ), 16 M colors.

Let me put this straight - the N-series phones are Symbian smartphones. They behave like small computers and you can install and run "sis" programs on them. 5610 is not.
If that is not your concern, then let's start with the main highlights of the phones:
5610 = music phone
N81 = gaming phone
N82 = camera phone
N95 = everything phone
And now let's see what are the drawbacks of them:
5610 = non Symbian, no Wi-Fi
N81 = weak camera, bad keypad
N82 = weak speaker, bad keypad
N95 = poor battery, thick & bulky!
Still can't decide? Let's go through each functions:
Music = 5610 has the best music player and loudest speaker. The N95 comes second, third N81, last N82 (no dedicated music keys and weakest speaker). But take note all the N-series has stereo speakers, 5610 only has a single speaker (but a very good, loud and clear one).
Gaming = N81/N95 has dedicated N-gage gaming keys, but N81 has better battery life, N95 has better screen size, so it's a tie. N82 supports N-gage but no dedicated gaming keys. 5610 do not support N-gage at all.
Camera = N82 wins hands down for the 5MP camera with Xenon flash. N95 comes second with also 5MP but LED flash. 5610 comes third with 3.2MP and LED flash. N81 comes last, very poor 2MP with LED flash.
Video camera = N82/N95 both captures VGA (640x480) at 30fps, it's a tie. 5610 supports VGA at 15fps. N81 is worst with only QVGA (320x240) at 15fps.
Watch movie = Sure, the larger screen size, the better, so: N95 8GB (2.8"), N95 (2.6"), N81/82 (2.4"), 5610 (2.2")
Battery life = Again, the larger the better: N95 8GB (1200mAh), N81/N82 (1050mAh), 5610 (900mAh), N95 (950mAh, but with 2.6" LCD and too many functions in one phone)
Wi-Fi = All current N-series have Wi-Fi, 5610 does not.
GPS = Only N82 and N95 has GPS.
TV-out = Only N82 and N95 has Tv-out.
What else do you want to know?
Oh ya, the difference between N81 and N81 8GB is only the internal memory size. The differences between N95 and N95 8GB are: the internal memory size, the screen size, the battery size, and the color.

to all 5610 users!!!!
i have this problem. the phone cannot link with the phone book itself!!!!
when there's a incoming call or incoming sms, it will not display the caller/sender's name or number even the caller/sender's name and number is store in the phone book. so i have no idea who's sms is this and who is calling!!!
anyone also have this problem?

You are all seek,man. Because now a present days in non-symbian mobile like nokia 5610, it is the best mobile in 2008. Who have a huge amount of money, they can buy N95 or N82, It's the best mobile in all sides in symbian.But who have a little amount to by a mobile, they can easily by Nokia 5610, Because in non-symbian mobile Nokia 5610 is the best in all sides in 2008.
