I bought this phone 2 days ago. Overall, I think it's pretty good. My only concern is that you have to open the backcover to insert/remove the microSD; and you can't use the front secondary camera for normal capturing purposes (it can only be used for video calls). Aside from the cons, I would recommend this phone to others.

Hey guys, i have a friend's 5610. Its not 2 months old yet but its like the screen is blank, i can see the back light, but the screen is just black, anybody can help me out as to what the problem is, or if i have to flash the phone or get a ribbon for it....much thanks

its the best in XpressMusic serirs>i havedused nokia 5700,and 5310...but the i loved most is 5610..its realy great..nice camera 3.2mp..cool sound quality in headset..it looks realy attractive..nice loudspeaker sound..have front camera which is only for video call..built in LED flash..Really attractive music player and especially themes..so buy it u would realy enjoy it,it also have a unique slider...one thing which disappointed me is that u can not use front camera normally..it gets on when u want to make a video call..otherwise no option to turn on the front camera...and else wise the mobile is really great..

i jus got a 5610 for a week and encounter a prob.my display image and lights always on even when i set to power saving on and sleep mode on.and somehow i found a way to solve.off the fone and on the fone again.but sometimes when im usin the fone(sms.calling.change image....)the prob comes again.im sure the power savin and sleep mode is on when this prob happen.and same thing,off and on the fone again to solve this prob.does anyone out there got tis similar prob?? tks for youa attention.

hey all
i bought the N5610 and it is a great phone , but after 2-3 weeks of using the camera having an error "Camera On Standby" and i tried to format the memory card, Restore Factory Settings and Download New Software ; but the error still , and i can't use the camera :S
any help plz !

my mom gave me this fone as a present..and i really enjoyed its features..here are some.
..excellent camera (3.2) with dual LED flash
..unique music slider
..very good music (in headset)
..colorful backgrounds and themes
..enough screen size
..second camera for video calling (only)
..soft keys for fast texting
..excellent design
if you have the fone already, i have samtin to suggest..in using the music slider gently bring it back to its place after sliding it..have an extra care on some of its parts..
EXCELLENT!!if the fone satisfied your standards it satisfied mine very much..

It's not that it doesn't support S60 - it just isn't an S60 model!
Having used an S60 model, I didn't actually like it that much. There are quite a few useful features that are missing, which are on the 5610.
For instance, it doesn't have "favourite recipient" for texting, and doesn't have graphical smileys either - you actually have to download them! Overall I think the S60 operating system is more long-winded, but that's my opinion.
Oh, and no you can't watch tv on the 5610. You could have found that out from the Nokia website!

the lacking is not suppoting s60 version, otherwise it is very good.

itz not a problem.I think urz light effect is ON,so th navigation key lights up aftr evry 20 secs...U will find in settings th Light Effect Option.....

Really intersted in picking this piece..but have been told that it is not meant for long term usage as sliding model mobiles conk after 8-10 months. Anybody using this phone having such issues?
