can the front camera be used to take pictures??...like in the case of the Nokia N73??...
..and what are the drawbacks of this phone??

Anyone having trouble updating firmware from v4.20 to v4.81? Installation would start but hang and the estimated time left would be at 15min. and not move. After a while, a message shows that the phone disconnected, and Nokia Software Updater would show phone recovery message.

It is nice mobile. I have purchased it recently. I agree with the lacknes of sound as what u are expecting from a music phone, however about its clearity......its amazing.
It's 3.2megapixel camera is superb. u can compare it the sony cybershot easily. U can easily get a picture in the absence of light with the help of its 2xled flash. And its battery back up is also superb. U can charge and use it for 2 days easily.

Man i have this one..this fone is got terrible problems: if in playing songs mood for a while it restart & start crazy things, the the pad in the front is very weak can be broken so easy..mine is in repairing..once i get it back i'll sell it & get the sony ericson p990

Hey guys, im back again.. i have resolved the bluetooth pairing issue by getting directed to the nokia-asia.com sites discussion forum.. thanks to GSMarena. i did a search here for bluetooth and found the link there.. i did a restore all and it did the magic...
But now i have other serious concerns to be addressed:
1. i have changed the network to gsm only (from dual mode) but still the battery holds good only for a day or the max of 1.5days with restricting myself only for calls (avg talk time being 10 mins for 10 calls). Any suggestions to improve this?
2. Copying contacts from other phones (like from my 3250's mem card) is not possible. I managed to do that manually by just clicking on send - via text message and once when it is there, just click preview and then click back. it wud ask u if u wud like to save the business card or not and i did yes and it worked. but is there a simple way of doing this?

I bought the set a few days ago but as i switched it on first time i had to face a problem with its volume keys. means its volume keys were not working. I swithed it off n agin switched it on this problem was resolved. Right after two days I again faced this problem......is there any solution...?

mp3's on this babe is simply amazing, really lound and crystal clear, battery life is about 2 days with normal phone calls and around 2 hours of music dail.
the only hastle about the device is the phone call quality, it lacks loudness and clarity, kinda average.
its been lovely to use this sexy babe.

Thanks for the advice, it seems like resetting to factory settings does solve the bluetooth problem :) Just make sure you backup files with nokia pc suite first as you will lose everything doing so.

It will never beat the sound quality of a Walkman?? I beg to differ!
It's already been stated in this forum that the 5610 has better sound quality, and if you don't believe that, take a look at this review of the Walkman W890i:

And I quote "When we compared the sound quality delivered by the W890i with the Nokia 5310 and the Samsung i450, it was clearly behind both of them. Its bass level is less decent than that found on other solutions, the same goes for its top volume settings, and the equalizers found on the Nokia’s phone have greater impact on what you actually hear."
The 5310 has the same sound chip as the 5610 so has the same sound quality.

the sound quality still cant beat walkman fone..very poor nokia..nokia cant beat sound quality of walkman fone until the end..haha..

If you have the music player running and you make a call, the music stops instntly, and starts again when you finish the call.
You would not want the music to be playing anyway, as you would not be able to hear the person you were talking to!

questions regarding mp4 videos in 5610
i just observed that the videos that i converted to mp4 when played in this phone isn't smooth. the video lags but the audio is fine.. but whenever i play the mp4 videos stored by nokia the video plays very smooth without the lag.. i use total video converter and im just wondering what did nokia used for their mp4 coz it really plays smooth..
please help

Has anyone who have the phone noticed that the bottom keys aren't lit up as bright and that on the bottom edge of the screen there's uneven backlight present so there are dark and light spots? Please reply. Thanks.
