5610 is a fair mobile after all, i found out sometimes it didn't work (i must restart it if want to use again) sometimes it's slow.
Besides, it has nice listening,i recommend you enable stereo widening, and chose Pop equalizer, it sounds louder and better, i think so.
The lastest firmware 's 4.80, isn't it?

Regarding the firmware - if you've loaded the software that came with the phone, then plug the micro usb lead in and your computer should instantly pick up the fact that the firmware is out of date and upload the latest. version. Just follow the instructions on the screen.

To Kabir - this forum is already full of opinions of this phone - that's what it's for. I suggest you read previous pages to get an idea of what other people think. One persons opinion is not enough, you need to read them all.
To Mytes - I've read that other people have suffered the slider button falling off. It maybe a weak point, although I've not suffered this. However, the plastic surrounding the slider has cracked sadly.
Regarding the lights around the slider, they flash to indicate a missed call or unread text, and also flash when the music player is working. You can turn this off under "settings" and "lights".

ho guys .i bought nokia 5610 in 2nd week of feb..the cell is wrking fine but there is som problem in the cell automatically it restarts & i dont know the reason why ..so plz let me know how should i resolve tht problme

Ive purchased my 5610 in January as a second fone, I have a 6288 that i use everyday. Now my fone is in prestine condition - never dropped. Last nite i switched it on after say 4 weeks and it said sim card registration failed, i could not understand why as the fone worked perfect when i used it the last time, anyway i put the off and on again and it was perfect, ive done so 10times again and its fine ever since, could it be just a freak occurence. I did have the fone stored in a colder than room temperature enviroment, could that have possibly been the cause?? Please let me know if anyone experienced such or if you could shed some light on this problem, Apart from this fone is problem free and awesum.

And where do u get the latest firmware? My phone has got 4.20 but someone has mentioned 4.83 to be latest? where will i find this?

Hi All, Im a great fan of GSMARENA and their forum proved worth it. After doing a search for the call duration display (while on a call) in this forum, i found that its absolutely not possible to get that activated. Battery life was also one of the other searches i made, and changed it to GSM. Still nothing improved. Im thinking of draining the battery completely and then charging it fully as someone have mentioned in the forum. Lemme give the updates after doing so...
I have two quick queries here (not sure how to search it here):
1. my phone's mini slider (for music player and radio) came off. I mean the black color plastic portion of it. I tried to just insert it and it got fit but not sure when this will fall down again and it would be really hard to track it as well.
2. the lights next to the mini slider glows on its own randomly. Not sure how to deactivate it as it really annoys while u keep the phone in dark place.
Please advise.

Wn u updated ur N5610 frm V4.20 2 V4.81 wat changes do u noticed....does d nu firmware worth updating or not....i hav purchased 5610 2 days ago n thinking of updating d phn but somebody told me that the nu FW makes d phn slow and degrades d sound quality....how much time does the phn takes if we update d phn through a dial-up connection...plzzz reply

my god~!!!
planning to get 5610 but read about so much negative comment. got to think twice.
we comment so much in forum...not only this forum, many other forum are also complaining about 5610 but the most important point is, DO NOKIA KNOWS~!
my current 5 years old nokia 7250 are doing great. Not a single problem in the last 5 years. what happen to nokia phone now! dissapointed!
