To Sly and Piah - I refer you to my post on 12/2/08.
Interesting about the comments on GSM/3G and battery life. I have changed this setting from "dual mode" to "GSM only" because I was getting a lot of "error in connection" messages coming up. Apparently, if your 3G signal is not strong, it will still be used in preference to a stronger GSM signal, so there is a chance of missing calls/texts. It remains to be seen if this increases battery life.

I support marcus. When first time I came here it was 52+ pages and I read all of them. Trust me it’s a treasure. But also includes many repeated questions (many). If U have time just go through the pages U will find most of Ur answers. I’ve seen marcus answering the same question for people who don’t bother to read the previous pages. It’s very annoying when same questions are asked many times.
A suggestion to all, just give a quick look on previous pages and if U don’t find Ur answer then post. If U don’t want to read then don’t bother to post. Pls.

secondary camera is only for vedio calling and can't be used to take pictures.

Talking about battery,
Without any/very less multimedia activities battery will work 4 days with couple of calls per day.
However if you select network type only GSM (without 3G) you'll be able to reserve more battery power.

Hi. I own a nokia 5700xm and would like to get a nokia 5610 as well. There's nothing wrong with the 5700, but I also want somthing that is not a symbian. Can anyone tell me the drawbacks of the 5610, and the possible advantages/disadvantages it may have when compared to the 5700? Thanks.

To Annoyed - The whole idea of forums like this one is to read up on previous comments first. Thats exactly what I did before I bought my phone - I wanted to see the general comments, any problems discovered, and anything else that I might not have thought of. Yes there are a lot of pages to go through, but one of the reasons for that is all the repeated questions! If the forum was used correctly, there wouldn't be half as many pages. You can see that one of the people agreeing with my past comments has actually been one of gsmarena's admin people!
And if you don't have time to go through the forum, is it fair to expect other people to do the work for you?
I have made a lot of positive input on this forum, taking much time answering questions and giving the benefit of my experience of using this phone, and others that I have owned before to compare it to. None of this I have needed to do, but had no problem doing so as I appreciated having similar comments to read before I bought the phone. The proof to the extent of my helpful input is recorded on many of the previous pages.
Anyone making similar efforts to myself would also be irritated to see their advice being ignored by people asking the same questions again, so I make no apology for my tone!

hi guys!
do you happen to know how to lock this phone? i mean, the phone itself to prevent others from accessing it. Most nokia mobile phones nowadays can be locked by simply pressing the power button and select "lock phone". When i press the power button for a second, the radio turns off and if i hold it longer, the phone will turn off. please advise. thanks in advance.
