I bought this phone last week. Previously i had a S.E W890. I'm fed up with s e so i switched back to nokia. I had loved my previous nokias the 6131 and the 5140. I was shocked to find my old s e beaten in every way. Apart from the battery life i can't think of a fault. I highly recommend this phone especially to young teenagers.

I think it's ridiculous that there are virtually no decent reviews of this phone yet. I could maybe understand it when it wasn't available in the shops, but I saw it in Carphone Warehouse at the weekend. There doesn't even seem to be much in the way of advertising either.

To the person 5 lines below, I never said the video was basic?? In fact, I've not really used the video yet. Think you've got the wrong person.
It would appear that the battery varies from phone to phone. The best I got out of mine was 4 days, but on average it lasts 3 whole days. And I agree, the volume button is awkward - one of the few annoying things, along with having to scroll through the whole alphabet when selecting an artist in the music player, rather than being able to jump straight to it by selecting the first letter. But that could be solved with a firmware update.

To get maximum out of battery do following.
1) switch off light effects.
2) switch off wallpaper.
3) charge atleast one ur battery to maximum.

yes! I use it with my SE headphones and it is amazing! But my battery dies sooooo soon. Maybe it is because it has only been charged once.
How should I do it to get the maximum battery??
Any help?
Las night it was full, I used internet for 10 minutes and this morning I got up and it was 25%!!!!!!!!!
I hope it lasts until my getting home after work :(
And: how can I set three different alarms??? I could with my SE, can i do it with this?

i m eagerly waiting for gsmarena to release official review of this piece. i ve used it for one week & loved every bit of it, earlier i had w810. i must say this phone beats my previous phone in each & every department right from display to music, camera quality(still & video both).
i ve few reservations though about its volume control button, its very hard to press also it lacks play pause button.
p.s. - for best music quality use this phone with w810 headset,Its awasome........

while so many s.e. w910 & w580 users sell there phones to buy the nokia 5610 xpress music ... so many nokia haters still lie about it ... anyway i respect the few s.e. users who gave a place to the 5610 and mentioned that this phone takes out w910 & w580 instantly ... as u know so many s.e. users are now fed up with the s.e. phone firmwares if u are fed up on s.e. then 5610 is the answer for u ... dont hate me becuz i tell everyone the truth its time that s.e. should grow up ...

video recording of this phone is vga(640x480)15 fps. video playback is vga 30 fps.how can it be called as basic.

had it for almost a week and i think it did restarted or something on its own...but not sure about it just seem strange that it was left on then i thought some1 was callin and i see the nokia phone opener. O_o

hi i am using nokia 5610 from past 1 week. wen the slide is in opened position, if u see (from the top) in the gap between the upper and lower part i can see the spring mechanism (for slider) clearly... is this thing with ur cel too??? though it is not affecting the performance but lowers the asthatic looks... one more thing r u using crystal cover to safe guard the camera???

Hey can anyone tell me whether I can install Java based games or applications on this phone?? Because I've heard that as it has the s40 Operating System on board, one cannot install Java based applications on it.. :( .. is it true??

Finally - an honest direct comparison with a W910 with the Nokia coming up a clear winner.
Dani - you say that it still can't beat the Walkman range, but this forum clearly states that it does, so I have to ask, have you even tried the 5610?
