how are the speakers? how loud would u say compare to SE s500 (my alternate choice) or W series.
btw i'm upgrading from a the very old SE S700 O_O

Is there any law that symbian phones only have better audio quality. I do use OS 9.1 based N91 but I must say 5610 sounds better than 5700. 5700 is complained so many times because of its bugs (it is subjective, some peep reports minor bugs while some face the most), and its sound quality is mediocre. Even 7500 prism has better sound than this through headphones.

if i gonna choose btw 5610, 6500 and w910...
i do prefer tis 5700 coz its in symbian function compare to 5610 and it has all the function as w910. anyway SE model till now no 1 of it colour is more than 262k colour...
dissapointed. but anyway, i will always cchoose nokia. NOKIA THE BEST!!!! >.

i just baught this phone for bout 4 days ago,i felt kinda excited when i get this phone, but it still has something tat make me not
not really satisfy, 1st is the loudspeaker is not as clear as the nokia 5700, 2nd is i cant find the front camera although the guide book do listed down,3rd is i cant install any games or themes from com. i hope sum1 can tell me how to open the front camera and how to install themes and games. thx...

only just spotted this ten minutes ago,sold n95 due to usual problems and looking at n82 ,, this is more striking with excellant spec BUT its video record is a weird 176x220 pixels so no good!!!
It seems the same as samsungs i550 is another symbian beuty but its video record is qcif so useless to me,,i550 vid spec link

Well it's not a smart phone so you can't compare it to one. It does absolutely everything I need it to do, and better than the Sony Walkman phones I had before.
It also works perfectly with a Sandisk 4GB card, which only cost £25. Took 15 minutes to copy 3GB of music, which again is faster than Sony.

This one is cheap and small size. Coming N82 expensive and big but better in everything. Hard to choose.

The remote control is long enough to use with the Walkman earpiece, but shorter than the Sony Ericsson equivalent. So where the SE one could be clipped on the collar of your shirt, the Nokia one is a few inches too short to do this (it hands around the upper chest area), but it's still long enough to have the phone in your trouser pocket.
No shops seem to be stocking this phone in England yet, but you can currently get it from Play.com for £199 sim free with free delivery.

Marcus, can you tell me how long is the remote control supplied in the box? i want to know is it really long enough for me if i use the walkman earpiece on the remote. thanks!

I bought this phone 2 days ago, and I can say I am VERY impressed so far.
Comparing it to the Walkman phones that I had before (W810 & W580), the sound quality is every bit as good, but the maximum volume level is higher, which pleased me greatly as I never found the Walkman phones loud enough.
To the people who have said they did not find the sound quality good, have you tried other earphones? The supplied ones are not good quality, so I used the earpiece of my Walkman phone with the Nokia adapter and it sounds great.
Also the camera is good, being autofocus, and considering the flash is only an led, it's surprisingly bright - probably why it cant be used as a torch.
The screen compares very well with the excellent one on the W580. Battery life I can't comment on fairly yet as I've been playing with it so much, so its discharged more quickly than it would do after normal use.
It really is a great music-phone, AND a great camera-phone. With Sony Ericsson you only seem to get one or the other at the moment!

this phone cost u around 1100(a.p)-1499(original set) in Malaysia.
I think its a got deal phone wth 3.2mp and FM radio compared wth S500 only 2mp. BUt some comment tht the sound is not up to standard.but the fact tht if u r looking for sound,go for sony ericsson. but they r too stingy in strategy, came out wth mostly 2mp. the 3.2 recently looks like crap. come on we all want a slide phone

i bought this phone 3 weeks ago...it really fun 2 use...i love the design n also the interface...the camera is so good and sharp as it has 3.15 mp with autofocus...but i think 1 thing that disappoint me is the sound quality is not as i expected...the key features, arrangement are all good but the sound didn't catch my heart...i'm hoping for a better sound quality from this phone...to be honest, my 6230 has a better sound then 5610...

its not yet available in the philippines, according from some stores here in manila, it will be available next week or until first week of december.
