Dee, 11 May 2009its crap it always resets itself and turns off by itself. s... moreall the restart issues and the hang issues will be fix if you update your phone to the latest firmware..

its crap it always resets itself and turns off by itself. screen goes blank and drops out. im going back to a sony.

hello...
i had been using the nokia 5610 xpress music since a year and faced the problems a lot...
Major problems are as follows:
1. when the call is active the phone get switch off even though its battery is fully charged.
2.during playing the songs through music player, it hangs out and switch offs after a while.

1st go settings, then shortcut. Then joystic settin. Then select change . Then u found application list. In 9.40 firmware when u click that option then ur set hung. Only way to remove that restart ur phone.but 8.30 provide that facility . Such as in my phone i set opera mini in down joystick key in 8.30 but now its not possible. Then u go setting then go phone software update. In 8.30 there is a option firmware update by via bluetooth but 9.40 not provide that. Ok.

and why do i have to effort to update my phone via bluetooth whereas the usb cable is more releable?
can you tell me the rules and trick you are supposed to observed?
im quite confused about that? and im not convinced that v8.30 is better than v9.40 besides the fact that it is working good...

Hi i bought dis fone a year before and i have experienced some problems.
1.When i talk or hear music my fone restarts and loses all the settings
2.When i put night thing its like ruining the pixels
3.And sometimes i have to close and open the fone because its not loading stuff
Well i took the fone to nokia but they said that it cant be repaired for 50$and allso they said that its not worth repairing it because you can buy a new fone for 130$.

U r wrong.after upgrade 9.40 firmware its processor become slow than 8.30. Music is same firmware 8.30 and 9.40. Camera quality is also same. But firmware 8.30 contain firmware update by via bluetooth but 9.40 not contain that. 8.30 provide to any application set by joystic but 9.40 not provide; when i try to set application option then no option does not work. Then it need switch off. I check many 5610 they are agree with me.u say hang problem maximan removed but its not true.there are some rules and trick to use phone. If u obey those rules and tricks;u can protect 98% by restarted problem.when u do wrong work means not obey those rules that times ur phone take restart.there are many little problem in 9.40. Its really true that 8.30 is better than 9.40.u say wrong now i also can downgrade my firmware 9.40 from 8.30 if i found this 8.30 firmware. u Ok now.....

i've run a test in my 2 5610 !! and its true the latest phone software is 9.40 it really crashes..

Sudipta, 07 May 2009Its true that when u upgrade your this phone; its became sl... morestill the latest firmware for this phone is v9.40, it's not upgrade, the term should be "update", who told you that this version is bad????
with this version (v9.40), if you notice and to everyone who updated their phone to this version, the main focus of this update is concentrating on the flaws in terms of hanging or freezing problems like any others are experiencing. But still there is a blacking of screen which is normal to all java phones.
second, it give you a faster processor which will save your battery from overconsumption. i dont know how nokia do that. but the problem with this update is that you can never go back to the old version if you wished to.
the buffering of music player is now better, i mean its has faster buffering and you can still escape or continue to play music or video files without interrupting the buffering operations.
video playback i think resolves the pixel problems of this update, i mean clarity now can be observed.
it can now support up to 8gig memory card unlike the v8.30 that can support up to 4gig only.
overall, this is a good version, and reliable one.
but still the decision is yours to make....
the specs here are based on v9.40 version

Its true that when u upgrade your this phone; its became slow and its hardware became weak.So friends dont upgrade your phone version at 9.40. Its also true that firmware version 9.40 is really bad.Version 8.30 is more better than 9.40. what is the latest firmware after 9.40 ? Someone can tell me ?
