Have used and operated this phone for a while and it's excellent. The slider mechanism is not an issue, I don't see why people have a problem with it as it's very smooth and when you use it to switch to the radio or your stored music collection it does so quickly. Plus the price is right. The phone is made of hard plastic and is built well, but if you prefer metal, then go with the 6500 slide.

Its rock i like it. it music voice is so clear. I like it.

The slider button on my phone also broke. It is so weak. I have the phone for only 4 months. The overal features are good but it freezes now and then. Why did Nokia make this part so weak? I see i'm not the only one having this problem.

I bought my 5610 four months ago, without falling or mis-handling, the tab is just got broken.
