anyone disregrading this fone obviously ahve no sense, fo rthe amount your paying its exactly what you get!! i would say, the looks on the 6230i should be replaced with looks of the 6030, i have both of these fones, and the 6030 replacing my 8800, as for making calls the 6030 is superb, unlike the 8800, misdialling numbers, battery life being terrible, navigation keys not so freindlt at all

if you don't need/want something like a camera, bluetooth, IRDA, it's ok, it has a beautifull 65k colours screen, wap for uploading images and sounds, radio for long trips. i will buy it in a few days, and i like it a lot. it's not that expansive, and the most important it's an nokia=maximum battery life and durability. i've previously have an Moto V180, and i don't want to see clemshell ever:D. i like this phone a lot. buy it

In India Nokia enjoys an unsurpassed fan following. Which would mean that its brand value is rated in stratospheric heights. A buyer of this phone in India would primarily buy this because it is a Nokia. I bought the 6030 having read the review of it here and hence one way of expressing my gratitude would be to present a clearer picture of the model for buyers in India.

The 'Best Buy' price of 6030 is INR 5250/-, though the cheapest stands at 5100/- which makes this phone decently cheap. The rest has been said in the web review and I will not repeat them. But the phone has an astounding battery life! I played 'Ancient empires' for five hours yesterday and the level dipped by just one! I have about 26 games downloaded and found that downloading is quite fast and hassle free here. But the 3Mb memory can get quite too much. The phone has hung twice in the few days I have had it. The bottom port is useless and the radio is good for a mono but really could have been better.

One thing I found irritating about the phone is its construction. It is BAD! The buttons feel loose. The back lid shifts a little. And the soft keys are dipped to the right. In India the phone comes equiped with regional languages which means more characters on the keys. that makes it look cheap. Though the silver model does not have the multi-language keys.

One good reason to buy the phone is its looks. I have it in black and it sure draws interest. It also gets smudged quite easily and I have to keep polishing it. Moreover it is a Nokia and comes with all the goodness of userfriendliness. This phone is utterly intutive. I have not yet seen a phone that is so easy to use.

While not many have heard of the 6030 here in India I suspect that it is going to be quite a success for Nokia in this part of the world. Personally I think that it would be wiser to use this for a year till 3G phones get cheaper and then trade this for the other.

The bottom port is for service only, read the previous port.

i've sent an request to nokia helper, about the posibility of existing an cable for connecting to PC and they said that 6030 does't have this kind of connectivity, that port from the bottom of the port is for service only.I've asket them about mp3 suport - 6030 doesn't suport mp3 file, and about if the radio working without headphones - 6030 uses headphones for external antenna, so the headphones are indispensable. So i think that many of your questions are ended. Still 6030 it's an nice phone,i think i will buy it, and for uploading images, skins and ringtones? an simply web-server space, and the upload will be wery simple, enjoy Nokia 6030. Bye...

what kind of cable, it looks like an mini-usb, just like the cable for a digital-camera, the cable for transfering images, and it's true its plug-and-play? and doesn't need PcSuite?because on nokia.com, 6030 it's not listed on downloading PcSuite. Need help, i want to buy this phone and want to know more of it. And something else, does the radio works without ear-phone, they say that it's used for external antenna.thx

frozen, this is a good phone if you're into the basic phones that has a radio in it. the battery life is very good! mine lasts over 5 days with heavy use of the radio and talking thru the phone. but it lasts up to 8 days if you turn it off during night time.

About other brands, i think this is a good buy for it's prize.

marcy, I think it holds up to 150+ messages if both the phone and the SIMs memory is in use. it's really a good phone and it has excellent Battery Life
