i cannot connect my NOKIA 6085 to my PC through data cable CA 53 .. I install drivers from CD that came with my data cable .. Evrytime i connect my phone to pc a " ADD NEW HARDWARE WIZARD " comes & asks for driver for NOKIA 6085 .. What should i do ?..i also looked for all *.inf files but neither of them contain support for 6085 ..is it possible that mine is an old version of drivers & there is an updated version of drivers that contain support for 6085 ..PLzz guide me ...

I bought this cell phone last month and I think it's the best cell that I had. The battery is good (even if you use a lot the midia player). It´s a very complete cell. Only the camera could be better: a 2.0 megapixel cam would be nicer =P

Hi, I'm thinking of buying this phone but can someone please tell me if the VGA camera is good enough quality for just emailing photos, or posting them on eBay? I don't want to print out the photos. I like everything else about the phone.

Hi, Folks! First of all, sorry for my bad english. I’m from Brazil and I have some questions about this phone.

1 – Does it support video ring tones?
2 - And what about 3D games? Does it have a good processor for that?
3 – How does it plays 128x128 screen games?
4 – On web browsing, is it possible to save pages or pictures? Does it have “web history”?

            Thanks in advance!

If you got a card reader, you can just put the micro sd card into the card reader. Then transfer music onto it, without the need of a cable.

This is prob quicker and hassle free, as there is no need for any software.. (drag and drop files)

I am looking for a quality phone that has a built in MP3 player. Can someone tell me how easy it is to transfer music to the phone from my laptop? Do I need anything other than a USB cable? Where do I get that cable and how much is it? Will any set of earphones work?

                Thanks!

                      QUESTIONS:
                      1. Does the 6085 need a special USB cable to connect to a PC to download music? Is it easy to download music?
                      2. Will regular (Ipod) headphones work on this phone for music?
                      3. Does it come with much memory for holding music, etc? What kind of card does it use and can you buy a generic one?

Sorry guys, but I can't understand if SMS can be stored into the memory card. In user's manual they say: when see "memory full" on lcd, delete old messages. And the way to change sms storage from phone memory to memory card is not present...

so many negative complaints from people (kids?) who just don't get it...

i've just acquired this on-line through rogers' family plan. (se w810i for me at $80, the 6085 for my wife for free). i'm more tech-savvy than her, so i do have a passing interest in the quantity and quality of the frills - hence my selection of the se w810i. my wife, though, couldn't even tell you what an mp3 *is*; and she brings her tiny canon digicam with her everywhere she goes for those "memorable moments". internet and games on a cell phone? why would a businesswoman and mother of three care for those? you know, for many people over 30, a phone is still just a phone... and that's ALL we want.

i look forward to seeing how the 6085 performs AS A PHONE and will post my review in a few weeks'/months' time.

the font actually are quite big at first but you can configure them. i guess it takes some bit of gadget knowhow do it.. and i dont think its really okay to compare it with N73 or N91 since they have different niche markets. its like wanting a race car where you really just need is a decent city car. this phone gives you all the bare minimum a traveler needs since it quad band phone. its flip so your sure it wont have scratches on its screen unlike most phones and its so light and small enough to fit anywhere without a hitch. so if you just need the bare minimum phone with all the necessary tools without the extra that normal people dont use and you value most is space and weight and normal connectivity with the best feature vs price ratio, this phone is for you/

it's full of CRAP! it doesn't have anything special. The resolutions are crap(small). the fonts are too large. SMS cannot be moved from phone memory to sim memory. It doesn't even come with a USB cable or a memory card. the fone is a sordid mess! Don't think about buying it... just go and use that money on icecream or something. Pretty soon, i'm gonna throw it in to the trash can and then save up to buy my dream fone...N73 0r N91

yes you can see the person calling u from the tiny display as well as if you have new messages. this phone is great for people who want cheap but very functional phone. its has a low quality camera as well just to send usual MMS but this is no substitute to phones like K800i. it has a decent mp3 player and radio though i dont really use that. bottom line, a nice phone for calls and sms and usual MMS as well.
