This phone has been very disappointing to me. I had the 6102, and the 6103 and this 6085 is junk. I do not get near as good reception, and it looks and feels so cheap! I am so disappointed that nokia cant even include any extras for this phone, the memory, the usb cables are all sold seprate unlike sony which include all the extras. This is the most disappointing nokia.

Me again (continuing last post), the camera is there, but VGA, not so great, i took about 7 photos and transferred via bluetooth. Would be better if 1.3M atleast...but for a 140$ may be too much to ask.

Folks, i bought this phone on may 23 and till today i am using it heavily - listening Mp3 songs via microSD (sandisk 1GB), radio works, call quality is good, i am using with my laptop/deskPC via bluetooth sync to outlook, BH-501 a2dp headset to listen about minimum 3 hours of MP3 - no issues at all. Alarm daily, SMS a lot, browsing net for yahoo/gmail (about to install operaMini), last night setup the email for pop3(myrealbox), so what else you can think from a phone? Whoever thinks of SW issue, must be a rumour. I bought this phone for Sync,Music(a2dp) and perfect for me.

Yes Yes Yes Yes.This phone has software problems and it has been called off in all the major countries and cities. But you can change the SW..But will be hilarious if you see the money of the upgrade SW,nearly the price of Nokia 6030. BUY Nokia 5200,6151 or Nokia 5300
              instead.

I was eligible for a phone upgrade on a Vodafone monthly contract and opted for a 6085. Like it much better than its predecessor -a 6220. Only gripe -its not supported by Apple, so I have to buy software elsewhere to pair it with "bluetooth" to my Mac. (Is there anyone else out there in a similar fix ?)

I recently bought a Nokia 6085. I am facing problems with the software. Somehow it went to headset mode and it wouldn't back down.

So just to confirm - YES this one does have software problems.

EVERYBODY. This model has been called off by Nokia. Its a failure model and never buy it. Buy Nokia 5200 instead.

This phone has no software problem. It has the same software(but improved a tat) of earlier Nokia models(6020,3230). Deserves 10/10.

I've bought this phone and think its fab! When you first buy it let the remaining battery run out and then out it on charge for ten hours and u will have full battery for ages!! Best time to buy the phone is noon no u have half the day (so have the battery) to use it and can leave it on charge during the night. Very good phone. easy to use!!!

Bought one for my brother-in-law. Nice phone for the money (139 euro in Greece).
1 month after, suddenly it died...wouldn't turn on or anything, not charge or anything. Took it to Nokia. He plugged it in his charger/computer and then it worked fine (without the SIM). He told me the SIM card was of the old type (it's about four years old) and it draws more power (like 5v versus 3v for the new ones) and also causes problems. He needs to switch it with a new one.
You guys think this could be the case with other phones that batteries die quickly and have other glitches/slow-downs ??

My son has had this phone for 2 weeks now and is great for what he wants which is mainly texting and talk. He only recharges it about every 8 days and has good reception.
He bought the phone outright for $130. So good value for this type of phone.

I've just bought this phone and think its great. The camera has a pretty good focus and has special effects. It is good value for its money!! I definitly recomend it to someone who just wants a small phone or a their first phone.
