My over 2 year old model of this Nokia survived a LOT of drops on the concrete, works fine, I charge it once a week. Love the speaker option, and alarm option (phone off for the night but wakes me up in the morning. Awesome phone.

Anonymous, 11 Oct 2009that is the only problem i have with my 6085h, low ringing ... morenokia published a software update to correct this issue in most of the 6085s. other than that, I have been selling this phone for two years now and the best solution is to bluetooth some uncommon ringtones to it and they seem to be recorded at higher levels making the phone quite a bit louder.

BVK, 08 Jun 2009Bought the pink one when I upgraded cause the black one I h... moreFind a carpeted area (not real soft), and with the phone turned on but closed, drop it from chin level onto the carpet. It worked for me. Oh, before you do that, try turning the phone off, taking out the battery, taking out the sim card, and then waiting ten or so minutes. That didn't work for me, but the first one did. It's a concept I saw on another site.

shut up!!, 13 Oct 2009this is the worst phone i ever had. i had to change battery... moreIf you live in an area where the phone is continually switching towers or services your battery can be stressed. Also, not letting it discharge is bad for it, despite what the "experts" tell you. Good luck

i'v bin using nokia 6085 for the last 2 yrs.it has a sturdy body,no doubt but the camera stopped working from last month & now the screen is all blue!having previously owned the nokia b/w ranges,i'd expected better performance from 6085.am a bit disappointed.

So generally I'm now distrustful of Nokia which I previously had the highest opinion of, and am exploring other brands looking desperately for a phone that will last at least a few years without software *glitches* and *hanging*. But it seems the problem occurs in every brand, so I'm losing hope. But if it looks like I can't find one I'll just buy a cheap less than $40 one and just keep replacing it every year.
