READ THIS! you'll be interested about my story! im johnrey! im from the philippines. i just had this phone yesterday its because i was hold up by some poor people in our village which cant even afford a phone and they sell it for money. my former mobile was the nokia 3230 and i really loved it because its complete with all the features. i was so mad that i wanted to by a phone with no features in it! so i bought tthe nokia 6100. its a cool phone which a came from a fantastic phone to a simple phone which i was really convinced of its slick and elegant style and most of all the simplicity is the best! i got the blue one! trust me guys! it ROCKS!!! who ever agree's with me please email me at j_rey13@yahoo.com! please! i really need your comments.

I think that is the best phone from Nokia. It doesn't matter it doesn't have camera bluetooth or 3g. This thing aren't for phone. If you need music then buy a mp3 player, if you want photos by a camera not a phone. The only way that a phone is used is to speak at it and send messages and 6100 it's the best.

I work for a telco and this is by far the best handset I have owned, it may not have a camera or bluetooth but one of the smallest and loudest phones ever.

I see there is a lot of complaining about the phone, whether it has no radio or camera, or mp3 player...
If you are looking for a TOY, then should definitely buy the latest models (this one is from 2002 - 5 years ago).
Now, if you are looking for a MOBILE TELEPHONE, reliable, easy to carry in your pocket, with good price and without all those "incredibles" features, NOKIA 6100 is strongly recommended.
So guys, stop complaining and enjoy the phone!!!

the nokia 6100 infrared function's only 4 the phonebook,contacts..im using the phone here..hmm..i find using this hp is kind of good..u can use it as a spare phone 4 ur other number..

hi. i just got this phone and i can't get my infared to work. i try to send images from my other cp and from my computer to my nokia 6100 but it won't send. on my cp, it says, SENDING FAIL. on my computer, it won't work. i use a infared cable from my computer to my nokia 6100. what's the problem? why can't i send images from my cp to my nokia 6100? they both have infared and i activate both of them.

its a not so good mobile.batarry is not good&ringtone.

I´m from Croatia. Nokia 6100 is top design phone. I have 3 brand new nokia 6100 phone which can operate to all sim cards, dual band frequency, light blue colours with all original papiers and warranty. Price is 169 Euro.

I hav ethis phone for many days but i am wondering what to use its IR port for ? I think in this phone one cant send or receive images, ringtones etc by IR ! Please help me if any one can.

I have this mobile for more than 2 years without any problems. Very nice design. I wish NOKIA would upgrade this phone and produce it with Camera/video, FM Radio, Bluetooth, 3G.

Ive had this for so long and evan though its so old u can still download games and pics.
The only bad thing is the sound is starting to go.

iv had this fone for... 4 years, but after the first year it started crashing, or the sound would stop working... Its not worth it unless you need a REALLY basic phone.

This phone is very durable. Only just become a little tempremental on me after 4 years, (And that's only cos I got it wet accidentally) so I've regretfully had to replace it. Quality little ringer!
