this phone is pretty good....xpt after a few months, it turned itself off and would not turn on again...it was a software fault and KJC had to wipe it and reboot the phone with current software version, which meant i lost all data...im currently in a small battle with Nokia to try and receive some kind of compensation, with no real luck...

Can anyone tell me if the built in handsfree on the phone is any good?
I plan on using it in the car.
But by the looks of it its a great phone small lightweight and reasonably stylish, not one for the posers.
Should I get this, the siemens sl55 or the sony ericsson t610???

It is a great phone, It has very good features, display is the secondary feature, because what you are buying is a mobile phone not a picture viewer. It is good for the people who always wanted the best, not for the ones who just go for display and ringtones.

If you want is a basic lightweight phone with straightforward features then this is not bad. However, if you want a phone that will a) allow you to assign ring tones and / or pictures to the contacts in your address book, b) enable voice dialing and c)has some decent games as standard then look elsewhere.

somebody tell me that how many types of interfaces are available to connect 6100 to the PC. either I connect 6100 through serial cable

Very nice phone. Good battery time, good sound quality, excellent features, nice looking color display.
I recommend to those who have software problems to upgrade to software v. 5.16. (you can find out software version no. by entering *#0000#)

It looks like you can't change the ring tone for the alarm clock. Why can't I choose from the sound files and change the tone to one I like best? Is this right or am I missing something here?

Why couldn't Nokia add a call timer displayed during any call? It makes sense when you want to limit the cost of some calls...everyone has that except Nokia...Is that pride in avoiding good things from ALL other manufacturers?!
