Does anyone know how to enable the backlight on the mini screen for a longer period of time?
It goes off quickly, and I can't see the screen at all. Thanks.

Oh my! I'm 13 yet I already fell in love with this phone when I saw it in the newspaper! LOL. I asked my father for this one instead of my Nokia 6600- which kind of goes crazy with my handling, hehe.
It's really a crossover from solid to flip phones. I find flip phones very chic, sophisticated, and so... Asian.
Haha, I don't know why, probably because since I live in the Philippines and watch a lot of Korean and Chinese dramas, find the actors/actresses using flips and I must say, they're pretty compact.
If I ever get this phone, It'll be a great relief for my uniform skirt's pocket what with my iPod mini, handkerchief and wallet, I'd be able to stuff in my mobile too!
Thanks, Nokia, for producing a swoon-worthy phone!

Nokia have done it again! (in a good way, that is) The 6101 is a cute little phone, the antenna looks fine on this design (without one it would look silly), the price is maybe a little steep at the moment for the amount of features but i assume it will drop for xmas. The memory is appropriate for the features. It is obviously a phone for those who dont need or want all the bells n whistles ie. bluetooth, mp3 player, megapixel etc. Nice phone.

The6101 is the most popular nokia, i think, since the 3200. I mean, the 8800 was popular for a bit, so was the last fashion range, but not in this way. This is like "everybody has one" type of popular. Its pandemonium. They have been on backorder for weeks. The demand is phenomonally high!!

I just purchased the 6101 last Friday. It had been awhile since I had a cell and I have to say, I was impressed, I have never been much of a Nokia fan, but the ease of use and features of this are great. However, I would really like to be able to play some Texas Hold'em on my phone, does anyone know where you can download and buy Java apps/Games for this phone?

Short shared memory(4.4 MB) and an unattractive design because of the antenna presence.

i just got this phone a little over a week ago, and i love it. it is simple to used and does what i need it to. the sound quality is awesome, listening to the radio at full blast on the speaker sounds very good. one thing i cant figure out is how to customize the menu screen... i dont think you can tho. i also would like bluetooth, and better memory, but oh well. i still think that this phone is great; reception is awesome, and battery life is excellent. 8.5 out of 10

Hello, I am from India. I am currently using Sony Ericsson Z200 and I went to buy Nokia 6101 but landed myself in a predicament, I saw the new Sony Ericsson Z250i which boasts of 9hrs talk time. My primary concern is the Battery life, I send abt 40 sms average per day and spend a lot of time on the phone. How is the batt life of 6101 and compared to ZE Z250i?
Thanks for all the help.
Cheers,
- Abhi.
