Also the reason why Nokia makes phone for Chinese market is purely because they can afford them.

As I have said before in other replies, the european markets are declining, so why should Nokia make new phone that suit these markets? I think Nokia is doing the right thing, just to make cheap pay as you go phones for you(to whom who may replies me)is enough.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970What I want to say is you are just village boy after all your comment.

What do you mean by crap China phone? the phone Chinese cloned was based on those big companies' product with innovate technologies. I can name one or two easily, such as dual sim card handset or watch TV on the handset (since 2006, which is far early then the crap BBC iplayer).

so before you made your comment, please try to be professional, as what you do not know doesn't mean it dun exist.

People have been asking "why", Nokia started focusing on Asian market since there's nowhere else has more cell phone users than China after the market crashed. Also a lot of people are already tight up with AT&T contracts with the iphones here.

6208c aka Nokia 6208 for the Chinese Market.

The T9 keyboard has always been favorable for people who use the international alphabet. The same is not true for Chinese who utilize around 3000 characters in their vocabulary. While the rest of the world finds convenience in dividing 26 alphabets among the 9 numeric keys, this is not feasible if you have 3000 characters to choose from.

I highly commend Nokia for adopting its product to meet the demands of the local market.

                    battery is less than acceptable.
stylus is a joke, they should have used the time and effort to make a decent lens cover instead.

I wouldnt say the features are impressive or horrible.

I'd say... modest. Mid-ranged sort of budget phone. Decent to fill in that braket of the market.

i hope it will also available in Europe (At a convenient price). It looks nice...a smarter 6300, dual: touchscreen+keypad is also nice. otherwise, prety simple, classic design, it's an "OK". i'll get one if it will be available in Europe..or eventualy get a sim-unlocked one over the internet from china ..
