Being a "3g" handset, How with the hell are you supposed to make a LIVE video call if there's only one camera on the back??????

3G is the name of the technology. It stands for "third genertaion network" network "3" was the first network to use this technology.

          1. If you notice the 6233 and 6234 they are roughly the same shape, my Dad works in mobile communications and when i asked him about this he told me that the software on the phone is the same, the only difference is the outside, the keypad/phone shape etc.

          2. 3G is not the name of the technology, it is the name given to show which phones are capable of connecting to the network '3' and are therefore able to use its features.

          3. People don't want big horrible bulky and fiddly phones like the N Series, Nokia saw that the 6230/6230i were good sturdy, simple phone, which meant that people them, this is simply the follow up, with more up to date features. They have simply updated the 6230 into the 6233/6234, hence the 2MB Digital Camera, 3G networking etc.

          4. I predict this phone to be a huge hit, aiming for a market of a wider age, nokia's target audience has expanded since the 6230 came out.

Why does Nokia always change memory card format, inconvenient for long time Nokia users (glad im not one of them).

WHAT HAPPENED WITH " FAMOUS" UMTS' VIDEO CALL?

Oh poor Nokia 6234, you are missing horrible video call quality. I hope you will not be overpriced like all other so-called UMTS VIDEO CALL phones!

6234 is just a vodafone branded 6233 (according to http://www.nokia.com/phones/6233 - BTW, notice the vodafone brand below the keypad)

does anyone know how the 6234 stacks up against sonyericsson k610i....ease of use, screen size (k610i has a 1.9" screen), clarity, connectivity. i'm not too pleased with the problems my 6230i is giving me so i'm ready to switch to non-Nokia 3G
