The video resolution is 640x480.I read on other websites about this phone.

I am confused about the Max. Video Recording Resolution of Nokia6280. According to gsmarena.com, it is CIF(352X288), but according to mobile-review.com, it is QCIF(176X144). Which one is true.

no 640x480 = VGA . 320x240 = QVGA . QCIF is 176x144. CIF is 352x288

the europe nokia site http://nds2.nokia-asia.nokia.com/nokia/0,8764,73,00.html doesn't have a coming soon sign next to the nokia 6280 does it mean that it is already available in some places?

I called onestopphoneshop (I've bought from them before) and they said that they are definitely getting their stock tomorrow on 3. Does this mean I have to wait another 3 months to get in on Orange? Orange said that they should have them before Christmas but they were not sure.

Does anyone allready has this phone? I would like to know or it is a good phone. And or it looks cheap and its feels like it will break fast.
Ik don`t know yet wich one I would like to have the N6280 or N6111. The last one is smaller and is cheaper but it also have less functions.

does anyone reckon that its worth getting the 6270 instead of waiting around for the 6280 cos the only main differnce is memory and the fact that the 6280 has 3g?

The January/February release date for N6280 on O2 is likely to be inaccurate. This is because it was based on the assumption that the handset would be released in mid-November on 3, with the 3 network having secured a 3-month exclusivity agreement with Nokia on this handset due to it's 3G capabilities.
According to The Link, the handset is likely to be shipped at the end of this week, with the handset becoming available for sale in the UK in either the week immediately prior to Christmas, or the week following the Christmas break.
Phones4u informed me that in the final phase of user testing, a major fault was discovered with the new version of the S40 UI used in the phone, leading to Nokia delaying shipments at the last moment in order to correct the fault. They believe it will be in stores by Christmas, although they could offer no guarentee.
Carphone warehouse have the phone already on their system ready to go, but are awaiting delivery, which they assured me would be within 3 or 4 days. This was two weeks ago, and they still do not have it. Nice one guys!
3 claim that the handset should be available via their website before Christmas, although several different Customer Service operators told me entirely different stories so this information is to be taken with TWO, not one, pinches of salt!

which website telling the release date one?
in malaysia capital,the n6280 already released. in australia, 3g company, the phone wil be in store at chrismas. i already pre-ordered one ^.^

I have been checking on the three website everyday to see if 'coming soon' has gone from the 6280, today i checked and the 6280 has gone completely! on the o2 website it says that it will be available in jan '06 and they are usually truthful.

mangofone: Look-wise I'd go for the N70, but for almost everything else I'd go for the 6280. The N70 is too heavy for my liking.

Swedish magazine "Mobil" gave it one of the best scores yet and called it maybe Nokias best phone ever. Perhaps it´s worth the wait...

Apparently they are meant to be in stock at CPW by the end of next week. However I think that Jan 6th is a more realistic date.

yeh i went into my local carphonewarehouse and they said they were prepared for selling the 6280 and that nokia then stalled its release. they told me to go back in the new year. but it is set to be £299 handset only in the carphone warehouse - cheaper than i first thought!

Not sure about picture and video editing - but I doubt it. The D600 has it's own advantages - for instance the tv-out allows you to display your videos and pictures on your tv like you would using a digital camera. However like all Nokia phones with the 6280, what you're essentially paying for is the patented functionality. I tend to find it a nightmare to write text messages on Samsung phones. The most expensive thing (and it's greatest advantage) of the 6280 is of course it's 3G capabilities. Something the D600 doesn't have.
