always been a fan of nokia and i still am they make good quality phones, except for this... had this phone (6280 slide) for nearly 18 months it was great for the first 13 months... then the phone began to freeze, switch off on its own, disallowed the taking of video/camera photographs would not allow viewing of previously recorded video. parts from within the phone have come loose crossing wires inside (i suspect) switching off and on the backlit display continuously. it was a good phone while it was working!!

why is it that if u have more than 260 songs, u won`t be able 2 play the songs above 260 from ur music player

I had this phone for nearly two years now, and it's the best phone i'v ever had. but some a..hole stole it from me about one month ago and now i was looking for another phone, maybe 6500 slide or n95 or something like that. but so far all the new phones that came out in the last year are just not like the good old 6280. now i'm gonna get me another 6280. the price has fallen a lot since 2006 and where i'm from i can get it for just about 100€.

I had this phone and had software problems no one could fix. It was very nice phone till the software went bad. I love nokia and i'm planning to get the n93i. Anyone have any opinions?

Nokia must of had improved it with the latest versions of 6280
but still i dont like this phone....

Have had 2 of these phones, 1 for myself and one for my other 1/2, for the past 2 years. 1 is the greatest phone ever, the other is a piece of junk. What does this tell you?

nokia 6280??? best phone on his class slider super ok camera function ok blitz problem bur in rest super....software problems with old versions but now ok...i recomend this phone....had 3 of them and it never let me down

I am not able to install any applications on my 6280 guys. When I try to download any app, it says 'Application Source Unknown. Continue?'. And when I say continue, the app is downloaded but after download is done, it says Invalid application. Could someone gimme a solution?

This is the best phone if you are an internet surfer! just download and install operamini4 and see how your phone is usefull !download yahoo Go and look how your email reach you the sametime on your BEST NOKIA 6280 I have it for 1year on vodacom SA and i never have any problem

Right well this is my story with this Phone te 6280
i got it in 2006 thinking it would be a great phone. it wasnt at all
the software is rediculous, it restarts with a 1GB Memory card and even with the loads of pictures
the slider = Loose
the Screen Cover = Loose and falling off
Dust is under the display aswell.
the battery life is 30 Mins ..dont even try to put Music on..the battery would die the minute the music comes on!
the Camera isnt soo good its Average but not good. its nothing compared to Samsung/SE's
all in all .since iv had all those problems with it , iv never used it once !
i traded it in for a SE W850i and i gotta admit i made the RIGHT MOVE to the Right COMPANY
SE Rock!!!!!!!

its simply superb..specially camera is koooool..i've been using it for nearly two years..and all this time i was thinking why i cant use the front camera..but now i know its used for vedio calls..
