My boyfriend gave me this phone last Oct 2006. And now, a few weeks before its first year with me, Im having a maaaaajor problem with it! It hangs. The screen color turns different (like green on the Zen Theme turns violet). It turns black also. The upper left side keys are so difficult to manipulate as they trigger the hanging of the phone's system. It's so unbelievable and frustrating that this happened to my 6280 since I give this the utmost care. I even bought a plastic crystal cover for it because I dont want it scratched. I want to try to have this phone reformatted but I don't seem to see any available code to do so. *#7370# doesnt work although they say this is like the default code for nokias to reformat. Does anyone out there know how to reformat a Nokia 6280 using codes??? Pleeeeease help..

i have had this handset for one year and three monthes i did not face any problem and i dropped it many times no thing dammged except slight it realy a great handset it only need to use front camera on video call and shoots too to be beeter

Had the 6280 13 months now! and can't use it now!thought it was the batt so got a new 1 fine till it needed charging,started charging ok few hrs later it's gone blank car't turn it on great phone when working!!!

i've had this phone for a year, and i've had no problems with it at all! i love nokias! i've dropped it so many times and the only damage to it are a slight crack and scratches and dents!

I have this phone for two months (new un-branded with v6.43 firmware)

NO swicth offs
NO restarts
NO hangs

I really find no problem with this phone uptill now

Hey all.. have had this model repaired over six times already.. and they have replaced it with a new one.. but yet it has the same problems.. this model is definitly a Lemon stay clear from this phone,,

my nokia 6280 has some software problems it switch off gradually @ selects options according to its own opinion. so i want soft ware foremat please.where i could repair it. my city is kottayam.pleaze respond

i feel some software problems in my phone that is phone automatically switch off & selects certain profiles by its own opinion.

yh i think that this phone is bad man but there are certain issues with it if you need the software just go to the official nokia site and select the phone.........

darn! my nokia 6280 sucks! it has been less than a year since we've bought it. and dude, i tell you. It sucks!. so many problems! now, I'm facing a problem. AGAIN. It is because my cellphone couldn't send a message. >_

hi,

I have downloaded the songs but they went to the memory card and when i want to move them to the music player it tells me that there is not enough memory there cos there were 3 factory loaded songs there that i cannot delete.This is frustrating when you want to play the music, it means after every song you have to manually start another one or pres the button when you can just set it to play all at once.Please help.

Omg! i hate this phone! xmas 06 i got this phone and the bluetooth wasn't working, thenn i sent that back and got another one.
Everything was fine until someone stole it a month later! yess that was my fault.. but i have spent so much money on replacing the phone it's not even worth it!
1)Phone restarts itself randomly
2)Passwords enabled on the memry card do not work!
3)On music player on tracklist i select a song and it plays another song..and if you have
over 300 songs on ur phone and u can't search artists..this takes alot of time!..and then it doesn't even play the song you want aaahh!
4)Battery time is ridiculous! it's basically in the charger all the time!
5)locked 2 the 3 netwrk and can't get unlocked!)
6)camera is slow, can't change the selftimer settings, and nightmode is very blurry and the flash makes the picture blue and doesnt really show it up..very poor quality.
7)I have had 2 buy a new memory card (2gb),new battery,charger,phone case, basically the whole bloody phone! it just doesn't last for long at all!
8)I HAVE NOT EVEN HAD THIS PHONE A YEAR AND I THINK IT'S ON IT'S WAY OUT ALREADY!..well "think?" it is!
i turn it on and i can hear the sounds of the phone but it's just a blank screen..no sudden movements and the screen comes on!
=/ if u press a button? the screen goes black
again! ffs! if it's not in the charger the
screen doesn't turn on at all! but u can still play music,take pictures..u just can't see anything!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PHONE!
MORE TROUBLE THEN IT'S WORTH!
My birthday is soon..and belive you me.. I am not going to ask 4 a nokia!
this phone has turned me sour 2wards nokia's!

Is there anyone out there who knows how to format N6280? I know how to restore the phone's factory setting, but what i really need to know is how to hard reset/ format the device. Thanks in advance.
