its not a battery problem dude.. maybe your lucky to have your phone working from the begining up to now..
but dude i reassure you its not a battery problem.. the FIRMWARE is unstable..
Its a great phone but its not functioning properly..
I cant believe nokia release such a trash.. believe me.. if you buy this phone.. your buying your biggest mistake.. dont be one of us..

Had this phone since Feb as work for o2, the problems that people are having regarding it turning off then on, or not starting up is all about the battery. In the manual it explains that the battery needs to be charged for about 3 hours then left to run down and this repeated a further 2 times. The reason for this is to educate the battery, once done the 3rd time charge as normal.

Though 6280 (320 X 240) has a higher screen resolution than N70 (176 X 208) but yet 6280's screen doesn't look as clear as the N70's. Anyone knows why is this so?

Bought this phone a week ago
all going well
i turn it on this morning and all i get is the nokia screen then it turns itself b ack off again!! Whats up nokia?!?!

this phone keep restarting by itself, whenever i play games, music and video... the receiving signal quite poor...can anyone tell me how to sovle the auto restarting problem? please e-mail me

I work at a phone store and have so many headaches with customers who buy this phone... It is one of the dodgiest I have seen by Nokia, reminds me of the old 3G LGs!

6280superb.It has gud speed.I used 2 use 6681 bt its better.Gr8 display with nice resulation.U can 4get symbian after getting this.The only prob is it sometimes suddenly gets off.Another one is there r a few games 4 this high resulation fone.Overall close 2 perfect.A nagging prob(gets off) n symbian lackin.

I've had my 6280 a couple of days now and its perfect? Don't be put off by the older versions or just the people who don't read the manual where it says you have to let the battery run down fully and charge it full, and do this atleast 3 times before the battery is at maximum performance. I have had not 1 of the problems listed so as long as you've got the latest handset and not an imbacil you will love the phone.

I am not sure what version it is, and if it is a version 3.60, how would i upgrade to version 3.81? Who do i contact to upgrade? Is it easy to do, how much does it cost?

I give both my thumbs up for this phone for its style. However, i'm so dissapointed with its software. Everytime i play my mp3, it restarts. Thats really annoying! The best thing for Nokia 6280 is its screen, wide enuf! Whats wrong with the slide anyway? Jealous? C'mmon!

Had this phone 4 a month & U have 2 get the software upgraded otherwise it turns off anytime no matter what U use.Nokia upgrades the software,they R slow & needed 1 day 2 complete

hi guys.. 6280 is a great phone.. stylish, beautiful screen and has tons of feature.. at first you will love it so much..
but as days goes by it will annoy you with the crappy slider and glitches comes out unexpectedly.. and even worser if the phone did ot turned on..
I had 6280 last MAY2006 and it gives me a one week nightmare.. good thing i was able to switch it with different model.. I took W800i and it did not give me any trouble.. Sony Ecricson Rocks!!!
To those planning to get this phone.. well think first.. I recommend you to get N70 or SE phones..

stunning 640 x 480 video resolution = big enough when you transferred/watch it to your computer unlike other fones.

hey guys I just got this phone 2 days ago. I love this phone so much but I heard that this phone's software is not stabled. It shuts down or restarts when you try to play mp3 or video, is it true?...Is this phone recommended for others to use? I am really hessitated of either changing another new one or not.....PLEASE HELP!
