Further to comments - what I meant 6288 is NOT a smart phone. If a smart phone it will use different user interphase. Hence, you will be safe from any abnormalities.

I've just bought this phone. Applications are all great and working fine but only disappointment is the slider mechanism is not as stable as Samsung. As this phone is a smart phone, the OS is very stable. Unlike N70/73/80 or all the N series which had alot of "freezed" and "auto reboot" of OS very often. This phone is definitely for those who are wants 3G, video call, basic utilities and simple slider..GO FOR IT!!!

ummm the phone definately has two cameras you !"#¤% or how else would you video call ? One little camera piece on the front left top, one on the back..........

In my opinion 6288 is a good choice than 6270/80...

here are the official differences between the two fones 6280 and the 6288, which were told to me buy phone sellers.
1. The 6288 comes with a 512 mg card. (who cares? buy one seperately (ebay ppl!))
2. The 6288 does have a bigger battery life, but not that much bigger, 970 to 1170 (respectively)
3. (I'm not sure if this is true) but some phone dealers have told me that the 3G network on the 6288 is faster than that on the 6280. I really dont know if its true.
4. BOTH PHONES ARE S40 SERIES AND DO NOT SUPPORT SYMBIAN! THE 62xx Series are not smartphones.
5. The 6288 has an updated firmwire, which does have less bugs. It is recommended, if you are chosing between the 6280 and the 6288, CHOOSE THE 6288! if you already have the 6280, dont bother with the change.

This phone is gr8! It has loads of features also gifted with 3g & EDGE.Then also why the hell is its voting results so low....I would presonally vote it as 8.5/10

Not sure whether anyone of you notice this. Does you screen saver, Power Saver and Sleep Mode works only when you insert your sim card? I just bought it 2 days ago and haven't insert my sim card and noticed that all the 3 features above doesn't do anything. Do you have the same experience?

Why did they release this phone? OK, it has a betta battery and comes with a bigger mem card than the 6280 but they all the same specs. Theyre must be another difference, why would they release practically the same phone. Plus is it better than 6280? Im getting one of them probably but dunno which 1

Themes can be downloaded for this phone. Symbian is not working but you can try .nth themes. Trust me it works. I have the phone and these are the themes that I use.
