how good is its camera? video quality? zoom? I consider buying this one but sony ericsson w810 is much cheaper compared to this one... hard to decide... so I will go for the one which has better camera quality, can anybody help me on this... thanks...

yes , sure it can view documents, it has pdf reader( acrobat) and i have installed isilo reader too,,,as a smart phone it should be able to use all documents´ readers if u find the symbian v3.2 versions,,,

last week i buy my first smartphone-nokia 6290,and after second day a have a problem,the multimedia key isn't work corectly,sometimes it blocks.Do u have any opinion of this problem.thanks

gringoboss i have tested the 6233 and the 6290 and the 6233 is louder but the 6290 is much clearer in sound it is smooth when you here it unlike the 6233 it is all out of rythm and sounds lak someones on screaming

This phone rocks.
It delivers way more than any other phone in its price range thanks to Symbian S60 FP1.
Only letdown for me was camera quality, which is decent but can't compare to my previous K750i.

I had this phone for almost a week. The first impression of this phone is that it doesn't look business phone. But the cheap price that attracted me. All I have to say is that this phone rocks!

sorry guys I had two nokias in hand - 6290 and 7390 and the 7390 is far better - even without symbian - there is a better camera (3mp vs 2mp without autofocus wtf?), much better videos (640/480, 25 frames/sec woohoo! vs 320/240) and is a bit smaller. Whats more i hate the woeful and cheap looking plastic finnishing on the 6290 edges.. yaack. I would really like to like that phone and I would surely go for it if there only wasnt 7390 on the market which for me is far superior - only my few words cheers

Nokia 6290 is at least available in Norway! Bought it last week! It's a great phone, and quite cheap too, at least compared with other smartphones

The 6290 is the European equivalent of the American, N75.

strange you cannot buy the cell in Europe because I definitely think that Sweden is in Europe :P... I was on at cell phone store a couple of days ago and this cell phone was there.

I've had this phone for 3 weeks now, ordered it from germany and yes, it does support dutch.
Answer to your question, 2 gig is no problem :-)
Do realise that the phone is rather big, if this is an issue then take its measurements from this site and make a drawing of the phone on a piece of paper to see what it looks like once u have it. Furthermore it is a good phone, battery life is not much different from any new phone, symbian is awesome.
My rating: 8.5 (size is main drawback)
